TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Dipper capacity: SAEJ67 = 73 yd3 (56m3) struck capacity.

11. Door liners (gate protection): Lower half on inside has 20mm thick, SSAB Steel - Hardox
500 BHN wear plate. The leading (outer) edge of door has a165mm wide SSAB Steel –
Hardox 500 BHN wear plate across bottom width of door.
12. Body liners (inner floor protection) – Dipper bowl behind lip has 40mm thick SSAB Steel
- Hardox 500 BHN extending to 20mm liners with intermediate 50mm bump strips all
SSAB Steel - Hardox 500 BHN Structural wear plate. Please refer to proposal drawing.
13. Snubbers: Qty 2off ultra high capacity brakes each consisting of 4off, 420mm diameter
high friction metallic discs & urethane springs.
14. Pitch Braces: Adjustable +/- 4° rake angle adjustment which converts to a +/- 305mm
heel change. Pitch braces are adjusted by adding or removing shims.
15. Latch mechanism: 152mm [6”] x 305mm [12”] latch bar with hard faced tip, latch lever
with one part trip, and easy access fulcrum box with 12 ton screw jack to make shim
adjustments safe and easy. Latch lever has upper & lower limit cushioned stops.
16. Bushings: Ultra high manganese explosion hardened eccentric bushing for padlock
connection. Forged manganese bushing for door pivot. Cast manganese bushings for
pitch brace & handle connections.
17. Pins: Door, handle and pitch brace pins are induction hardened with bolt on retainers.
18. Lifting lugs: The 4 upper corners of dipper body each have a 50 ton lifting lug and 85
ton lifting lug on top center to pick up the complete dipper.
19. Padlock Assembly: 2 Padlock assemblies support the dipper. These feature increased
strength and induction hardened sheaves.

Material Specifications for Castings & Structural Plate:


1. Castings: Lip, fronts, & latch keeper are made from Low Carbon Alloy Steel of High
Toughness, 720 MPa Yield Strength, CVN 66.5N @ -40°C, 277-331 BHN.
2. Structural steel: SAAB Steel - Weldox structural steel and Hardox Q&T 500BHN wear
resistant material.

Welding and NDT Procedures:


1. Welding Procedures according to America Welding Society, AWS D14.3/D14.3M (2010),
“Specification for Welding Earthmoving and Construction Equipment”
2. Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) of all welds to ASME Section 5 (2010) and AWS D1.1
(2010) Section 6, Part C “Magnetic Particle Testing”.
3. Ultrasonic Inspection of full penetration welds.

Stress Relief:
Dipper bowl, back, & door weldments are stress relieved.

Paint Specification:
Painted complete in Black Enamel or site specific paint specification (Customer to advise).

COMMERCIAL TERMS:
Warranty: Refer to the standard Austin Engineering warranty terms attached with this
quotation.
Delivery: Delivered to Caujone Mine Site.
Estimated time of delivery 38 weeks from official Purchase Order.
Subject to material availability and workshop loading at the time of Purchase
Order placement.
Payment: Progress Payments according to the following schedule:
40% upon receipt of Materials, payment Net 30 days from invoice.
40% upon completion of fabrication, payment Net 30 days from invoice.
20% upon delivery to site, payment Net 30 days from invoice.
Validity: Offer valid until September 08th, 2012 (120 days)

Austin Engineering Ltd Is a Australian owned company that has been designing and manufacturing all
types of JEC buckets (Austin Engineering brand) for the last 20 years. Austin Engineering is currently the
largest manufacturer of mining buckets in Australia/Indonesia to their own designs as well as OEM
designs. The entire range of mineral application either stone / gold / nickel / copper/carbon handling all
kinds of material density are covered by the Austin Engineering JEC bucket range. Exclusive
arrangements exist between Austin Engineering and OEMs for manufacturing Bucyrus (includes Terex O
& K) and Hitachi. For Hitachi, Austin Engineering manufactures approximately 50% of all buckets for the
markets in Australia, Indonesia and Africa. In addition, Austin Engineering - Westech manufactures the
vast majority of buckets for the USA and Canada markets.

The development, engineering and analysis of our dipper designs was completed in Australia and our

Austin Engineering has manufactured more than 900 units of all types to the Austin design. This number
does not include buckets manufactured by Westech or those manufactures directly for OEM’s. Our
designs meet all the OEM specifications in term of weight, size, load, load potential etc etc. The
Engineering Department works with design software ProEngineer, Solidworks and ANSYS to create
analyse and produce manufacturing drawings for every product we manufacture. In addition to these
software programs, Austin Engineering is the only company in Peru that has utilices special flow
simulation software to acurately model loading and dumping cycles.

We have extensive experience working with contract mining companies such as Thiess, Leighton as well
as mining companies such as BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Anglo, Xstrata, Barrick, Peabody, Codelco, Teck,
Sumitomo, India Coal. Furthermore Auston Engineering works with OEMs and we have obtained
acreditation by these OEMs to manufacture their products direct.
