1.Plant anatomy is the study of the shape, structure, and size of plants.
2. Unlike animal cells,
plant cells also have chloroplasts that capture the Sun's light energy and convert it
into food for itself.
3. Inside a root are pipelines or veins that carry water and minerals
to the rest of the plant.
4. A stem is made up of an outer
layer, the epidermis; an inner layer, the cortex; and a central zone called the pith.
5. The stamen is the male reproductive organ in a flower and contains the male
cells
(pollen) in its anther that grows at the tip of its long, narrow stalk.
6. The pistil is the female reproductive organ and
looks like a long-necked bottle
7. Seeds have three main parts: the coat, the embryo, and the food storage tissue.

1. PLANT ANATOMY IS A BRANCH OF BIOLOGY THAT STUDIES THE COMPLEX INTERNAL STRUCTURES
OF PLANTS

2. VEGETATIVE REPRODUCTION IS A WAY OF ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION OF LIVING THINGS

(WITHOUT THE FUSION OF MALE AND FEMALE SEX CELLS)
3. DIFFUSION IS THE FLOW OF A SUBSTANCE IN A SOLVENT FROM THE PART OF CONCENTRATION
TO THE PART OF LOWER CONCENTRATION. OSMOSIS IS THE MOVEMENT OF AIR THROUGH A
SELECTIVELY PERMEABLE MEMBRANE FROM A MORE DILUTE REGION TO A MORE CONCENTRATED
AREA.

4. THE PROCESS OF POLLINATION BEGINS WITH THE FALL OF POLLEN ON THE STIGMA. IN EACH
POLLEN THERE IS A MALE SEX CELL OR SPERMATOZOON WHICH WILL UNITE WITH THE EGG CELL.
AFTER THAT, THE SEX CELL WILL UNITE WITH THE EGG CELL IN THE OVARY. THIS PROCESS IS
CALLED FERTILIZATION.
5. THE PARTS OF MONOCOT SEEDS HAVE THEIR RESPECTIVE FUNCTIONS, NAMELY: KOLEORHIZA IS
A STRUCTURE THAT HAS A FUNCTION TO PROTECT THE RADICLE. THE RADICLE IS THE LOWER END
OF THE EMBRYO THAT WILL DEVELOP INTO A ROOT. THE COLEOPTILE IS A STRUCTURE THAT

PROTECTS THE PLUMULE .
