T2 3.1 Generals

Two files are generated at each session. Session number is incremented at each aircraft start.( but also reset to « ZERO » at each MFDAU ACMS module replacement).

Files formats are « .RAW » et « .225 » .Theses two files will be transferred at the end of the session in the PCMCIA card.

Files names contain aircraft pin code and session number.

A session starts at the first engine start ( NG> 5% ) and will stop at the last engine stop (NG<5% et NR <85trs).

one session = a flight or a ground run.

Example :

1FF4402d.raw et 1FF4402d.225 stands for 1FF44 ( aircraft code ) 02d (session code )

Contains all USAGE data but also all vibrations

acquisitions (HEALTH).

Should the last « .225 » file been transferred correctly in

the PCMCIA card, the MFDAU ACMS will erase its
memory contents at the next session.

Should the last session not been transferred, A message

will be sent to the crew on the MMI in order to operate a
manual transfer.

If the manual transfer is not performed, The MFDAU will

create a compacted file ( without HEALTH data). This file
will be added in the next transfer ( before the last flight in
order to comply with the sessions chronology. Up to 20
compacted flights can be stored in the MFDAU memory.

The analyse of this file will be preformed using

« GROUND STATION » software ( not to be confused
with PGS).

T2 3.3 « .raw » file

This file is not a USAGE file. It’s a back up file of FDR

function.

It is opened directly on the PCMCIA card at the session

initialization whereas « .225 » will be transferred only at
the end of the session.

It contains a minimum of 64 parameters recorded initially

by the MFDAU FDRS. This module will sent a pack of raw
data every 4 seconds through the MFDAU.

Should the PCMCIA card be removed from the DTU

during a session, the data will be momentarily lost until the
card is reengaged. These data could be an help for
maintenance or troubleshooting.

“Flight” can be played again thanks to PGS software after

conversion in a « .xff » file.

T2 3.4 Interfaces

3.4.1. The DTU.

It is the interface between the MFDAU ACMS and the

PCMCIA card. It allows the files transfer. Data will be
given though a RS 422 line by blocks of 4 Kb every 4
seconds.
Opening the DTU during operation will illuminate « NO
CARD » message on the MMI.

files of the concerned aircraft.
