OREV Server Requirements

Medium Volume configuration (~ 10000 host)

1. Hardware
Please contact your local hardware provider with the following requirements.
We recommend the latest HP ProLiant or the DELL PowerEdge, both tower servers and racks
servers.

 CPU one socket minimum: Intel Xeon E5-2#20 V2 minimum (one socket 8 core or two
sockets with 12 cores minimum).
(# - can be replaced with any digit)
 Memory: minimum 64 GB spreaded across all supported channels.
 Disks: SSD 120GB for drive C
2 SSDs 1TB in RAID1 for DB or higher RAID configurations. (Requires mores disks)
HDD 3TB or higher (for backups).
 Static IP for the server.

We can use the same machine for IIS and SQL.

2. Software
 OS:
minimum: Windows Server 2012 R2 or Newer
OS must be fully updated and MUST be in local English
 IIS (Internet Information Services) with ASP.NET enabled Extended to ASP.NET 4.5
 Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5
Application user (Administrator with non-expiring password)

 Windows server 2012 R2 and above will also need Framework 4.5 for SQL Server.
 One Shared folder:
This folder needs to be with everyone full control (and within domain) and it will be used
to store the OREV Agent kit for distribution to machines.

 3. Database
 SQL server 2016 SP1 Standard (minimum 6 core license) with management studio
installed(must be in local English)
User with DDLowner level with Bulkinsert role.

SQL can also be installed on the same server with the IIS which makes the installation simpler.
 Collation must be *_CI_AS (Case Insensitive)

4. Ports & firewall:

The actual port numbers can be changed if needed.

5. Office support:
OREV supports MS office version 2010 and above.
