MENTORING SESSION FOR CLUB ACTIVITIES

the faculty members to
Dr. S. John Kennedy.

Dr.John Kennedy explained the importance of club activities in the Institution. It is very useful
for NAAC accreditation, provided they are documented well. Then he asked each in charge of the
clubs to explain their plans for next month. He advised them to make the club activities more
vibrant and to conduct one activity per month. He emphasised two activities viz., Energy Audit
and Green Audit. Both are important. He gave directions to each club in charge regarding the
activities. They assured their cooperation.

PARENTS MEETING FOR PLACEMENT-IV YEAR

The Institution organised a Parents Meeting to raise awareness among them about placements.
The director, Prof. A. George Klington, gave the students a hearty welcome. The principal, Dr. J.
Jasper Gnana Chandran, explained the importance of placements. (...)

(FROM PAGE 2) The significance of placements was discussed by Dr. P. Ravindran, Vertical
Head/Placements. He urged the students to participate fully in the placement efforts of the
institution. He talked about the numerous organisations that visit the campus, such as Centizen
and Zoho. The institution has organised placement drives from MODPRO and Sundaram
Fasteners, to name a few, even for core companies. Hence, he requested the parents to motivate
their wards toward placements. He also requested the students to cooperate for placements. Dr. V.
Vignesh, the Administrative Officer delivered the vote of thanks.

DEPARTMENT DEVELOPMENT PLAN REVIEW MEETING -

ECE AND EEE
On Day 2, a DDP Review meeting was organised for ECE and EEE. The meeting was
presided over by Dr. J. Jasper Gnana Chandran, the Principal, and Prof. A. George
Klington, the Director. They evaluated the department's yearly development on all fronts,
including faculty, labs, research, etc. They gave the HoDs advice on how to enhance every
aspect of their departments for personal and institutional success. If individual faculty
grows, the institution will grow, they said. Further, they asked the HoDs to prepare micro
plan for each faculty by the individuals. The HoDs assured their fullest cooperation.
