SPEAKING- GIVING ADVICE

You can take the dialogue on page 54. Student’s Book, exercise 1, as a model.

Give advice to someone by using should/ shouldn’t/ ought to/ ought not to in the
following situations and play a conversation. Speak for about 4 minutes.

- You welcome a new player to your sports team. Tell him about the factors he/ should
take into account: How to play well, how to behave with people…
- A person is coming to your village/ neighbourhood. Give him/her advice about how to
manage there.
- Your friend is going to have lunch tomorrow with your family. Tell him/her about table
manners and the topics he should talk about, and the stuff he ought not to mention.
- Your classmate is going with you to the library. You are going to elaborate a project,
but you cannot shout. Talk about it.
