Key West International Airport, a private airstrip, days ago

Ivanov looked over at Ms. Bradshaw, still trying to figure out how it all fit in. She
was a beautiful woman with shapely legs who always dressed in sharp business
suits. Everything was top notch, the best that money could buy. The private jet, the
specialized field equipment and even the black-market Plutonium and Uranium all
the best money could buy.
He spoke to her in English, not because she didn’t know Russian, but because the
mysterious “Chairman of the Board” the one behind all this, demanded it.
Everything that had been said and done was to his orders.
“The coordinates you gave the pilot will take us over the ocean. There is nothing
there.” Ivanov said it loud enough so that his band of mercenaries behind him
would hear. “What are we going to do? Bomb some whales?”
Ms. Bradshaw answered in her usual cool manner “No Mr. Ivanov, we’re going to
an island. An Island that is on no modern map.”
“In the middle of what you Americans call “The Bermuda Triangle”?” Ivanov
smirked.
“That is correct. The Island has a portal to the place I told you about. It’s how
we’re going to get there.”
Ivanov was at his end. He and his men went along with a lot of crazy things from
Bradshaw and “the Chairman of the Board” only because a lot of money backed
them. Already he and his men were the richest any of them had ever been.
“So, you’re saying this island will get us to this “Evermore”? Look, my men and I
are tired of all this. We need proof or we don’t leave this airstrip. You
understand?”
“You want proof? Bradshaw asked as she turned around so all the men behind
Ivanov could see “Very well”
Before the men, the form of Ms. Bradshaw changed from that of a beautiful
woman to some alien looking thing, to Ivanov himself, down to what he was
wearing. Bradshaw, or the thing claiming to be her, said in Ivanov’s own voice “Is
this proof enough? “
Ivanov and his men were startled. Several of the mercenaries pulled their weapons
on her.
“Tell your men to put down their weapons. If I wanted to, I could fry their brains
where they sit”
Ivanov motioned his hand to his men to lower the weapons. Reluctantly they did
so.
“What...” Ivanov couldn’t get the words out.
“What am I? I’m the last of my race that crashed here in the late 1950’s” She
looked over to one of the men who was holding his gun a little too tight, ready to
fire at any moment.
“Your men would be wise to calm down. Where we are going there are far more
scarier things than me.”
The revelation jolted Ivanov’s mind “The Plutonium and Uranium. All the
equipment we have in the back, that’s enough to blow up a very large city.
“A good thing then that’s exactly what we’re going to do. Not just any city though.
We’re going to destroy the most ancient of cities, a city that was enacted long
before man set foot on the earth. We gentlemen are going to destroy the fabled city
of Atlantis itself.
Ivanov was confused, he had many questions. “Atlantis, it’s under the ocean?
Right? It sank.”
“On this world it’s under the ocean and is in fact off the coast of the island we’re
going to. But we’re not going to THAT Atlantis, we’re going to the one that’s still
standing. The one located on Evermore. And when we’re done, there will not be
one stone of that cursed place left standing.”
