Writing

Part 1

The manner in which society encourages people to exercise and makes them acknowledge the
importance of being healthy is crucial and is reflected in their performance and evolution. Such an issue
is analyzed in the two contrasting passages that this essay touches upon.
Whether you are a doctor, musician, painter, astronaut, along the way to becoming your heart’s
desire, your ambition and will were fed up by a role model, a successful personality from the world you
were eager to enter. Hence, role models are one of the key factors that can motivate people into taking
part in sports. Athletes are the ones anyone that wishes to motivate themselves into exercising should
look up to. LeBron James and Kobe Bryan are two of the personalities that people admire most and that
can influence society into changing its course to a healthier future.

Furthermore, we can see every child playing, running, climbing, but do they stop doing all of
these things on their own accord, or is their environment the one dictating their growth. School, family,
friends and society are the ones that change a person, from better to worse or the other way around.
Therefore, the education a child receives is the most important factor in his development and their will
to exercise throughout his life.

In conclusion, education is the key factor that motivates someone to exercise, discipline being
the one that continues this process in the moments when motivation isn’t enough. Education implies
support and love from your community, these motivating you to step out of your comfort zone.

Part 2 (question 4)

One of my favourite paid streaming services is Netflix, a popular service for any types of movies,
such as horror, comedy or documentaries.

Netflix is a successful company from USA that features some of the most acknowledged
creations in the film industry, such as “Titanic” and “The Mummy”. The upside of using this platform is
the low monthly charge, varying from 6 to 18 pounds. Another advantage is the vast multitude of
movies it provides, the categories being infinite, and it doesn’t prioritize certain categories, each one has
many films you can choose from, even for documentaries lovers, the list in this corner is humongous,
from biology and history, to health and happiness, and even murder ones. Furthermore, the sound,
image and colour are exceptional, and the audio and subtitles come in multiple languages, the user even
being able to learn a new language by using said features.

Nevertheless, there are also downsides to this streaming service. First of all, the number of
movies is restricted by the country you reside in, for example, “Titanic” may be available to someone
from Canada, but it cannot be found by someone from Norway. Secondly, for the platform to work, you
need to have a very good connection to Wi-Fi, and I’m sure everyone has moments in which the router
stops working for no reason at all.

In conclusion, a paid streaming service I recommend is Netflix, being worth the cost involved,
but you must be sure you’re ok with it interrupting your movie because of its need of great Wi-Fi.
