CoinFlip Bitcoin ATM Kiosk Initial Installation Procedure

(SG Lock Models)

Service Description

Install and setup of a CoinFlip Bitcoin ATM kiosk. You will be required to drill and tap anchors into the floor
and secure the kiosk in place using the provided hardware. Once mounting process is finished and the
kiosk is connected to power, a brief setup and test phase will follow, which may include troubleshooting
any problems that arise, if necessary. Finally, the kiosk is to be locked and secured, and the keys are to
be returned via UPS or FedEx with the included prepaid label.

This work order REQUIRES a delivery before work can begin! Do not head to field site without
verifying that the kiosk has been delivered first. Verify delivery using provided tracking number.

Required Equipment:

• Digital camera or smartphone • Hammer


• $5 bill to complete a test transaction after setup • 3/4 in OR 19mm flex head wrench, flex head
(will be reimbursed to you) ratcheting wrench, or socket & flex head ratchet

• Marker, pen or pencil • Utility knife/scissors/snips

• Safety glasses • Screwdriver set
• Hammer drill • Precision screwdriver set
• 1/2 in hammer drill bit for concrete and rebar

(Recommended: Milwaukee 1/2 in. x 6 in. 2-
Cutter SDS-Plus Carbide Drill Bit or similar)

1. Greet store owner/clerk, introduce yourself as a technician with CoinFlip. Advise them that you
will be installing the CoinFlip Bitcoin ATM kiosk and give an estimated time to completion.

2. Locate the CoinFlip Bitcoin ATM kiosk:

3. Remove any stretch wrap, padding, tape or other protective materials from the exterior of the
machine. Use caution as to not scratch or tear the vinyl wrap on the machine underneath.

4. Locate the keys. They are in a cavity on the backside of the machine, covered by masking tape:

5. Use the gray key to open the access panel on the front of the main vault door. A UPS return
shipping label and two 9V batteries will be located behind this panel. The return shipping label will
be used to ship the keys back to CoinFlip once the install has been completed:

6. The batteries must be installed into the S&G lock keypad in order to open the main vault door.
Pull the silver ring surrounding the keypad towards you to access the battery sled for the keypad:

7. Fold down wire clips at the bottom of the battery sled in order to insert the batteries:

8. Insert the batteries into the battery sled, with the positive terminal on the top right for BOTH
batteries:

9. Fold the wire clips back up and snap them into place, then push the silver ring back into place:

10. Call the Work Order Manager to obtain a time set code for the S&G lock keypad. If the Work
Order Manager is not available, then you may alternatively contact the CoinFlip Field Ops
Technical Support line at (312) 971-3547. Have the serial number of the ATM (BTXXXXXX) ready
when you call. The time should be set in LOCAL MILITARY TIME.

11. Press 97* on the keypad to verify time set. The date will be displayed in DD/MM/YY format and
the time should be formatted in LOCAL MILITARY TIME. If the date or time is incorrect, contact
the Work Order Manager to coordinate another time set (take photo of date and time display
for your required deliverables):

12. Once the time is set correctly, obtain access codes from the Work Order Manager to open the
main vault door of the kiosk. Have the serial number of the ATM (BTXXXXXX) and the touch key
number (Install XXX) ready when you call. Take the black touch key and press it on to the blue
dot reader. It should snap into place. Enter the access codes on the keypad and turn the silver
handle 90 degrees clockwise when you see the unlock icon to open the main vault door. DO NOT
turn the handle back into the locked position until you are finished installing the machine and you
have confirmation from the Work Order Manager that it is okay to do so:

13. Plug the kiosk into power Plug the kiosk into power using the main power cable from the rear of
the unit as soon as possible to allow the router to dial in and get a connection.

14. Inside the stand of the kiosk you will find four 1/2 in. x 4-1/2 in. wedge anchors and epoxy. These
will be used to anchor the machine to the floor:

15. Position the CoinFlip Bitcoin ATM kiosk into place designated by store owner/manager. Before
drilling any holes, ensure that the main vault door AND the kiosk head door can both open
through their FULL range of motion, and are not blocked by any other objects. To open the
kiosk head door, use the yellow key. The lock cylinder for the kiosk head is on the right side of the
head of the machine. Ensure that access to this lock cylinder is not blocked by any other objects.


16. Mark holes (4) with marker:

17. Move machine aside to reveal marked holes. Drill all four holes to at least 3.5 in of depth. Fill
holes with epoxy before inserting anchors in order to provide additional strength:

18. Hammer down anchors until there is less than 1.5 in of anchor remaining above floor level. DO
NOT hammer the anchors down with the nuts sitting at the top of the anchor or you will damage/
strip the threads on the anchor. There is a crumple zone at the top of the anchor that will allow
some mushrooming out of the metal while still allowing the nut to be threaded on properly:

19. Drop machine down over anchors. Place washers, then tighten down nuts with 3/4 in or 19mm
flex head wrench. ALL FOUR anchors must be installed and fully tightened (take photo of fully
tightened anchors for your required deliverables):

20. Once the machine has booted up and established a connection, the CoinFlip customer interface
should be visible on the main screen:

21. If the machine is displaying an error message, work with the Work Order Manager troubleshoot
any errors that are displayed:

22. Use the yellow key to open up the top compartment of the kiosk and plug in the door sensor
harness. It can be plugged into any open USB port along the bottom of the main board inside of
the head of the machine. The door sensor harness is a black USB dongle with black and red
wires coming out of it:

23. Perform test transaction on the machine by purchasing LITECOIN (LTC) using a $5 (or larger
denomination) bill:

24. You’ll be required to enter a phone number that can receive text messages in order to receive a
confirmation code:

25. Use the following QR code as the destination address for the transaction:

26. Scan the test code on the code reader on the top left of the machine and insert cash into the bill
acceptor:

27. Once test transaction is complete and machine is fully installed/operational, clear all tools/items
from the inside of the machine and confirm with the Work Order Manager before closing the main
vault door. Close the door fully and turn the silver handle 90 degrees counter-clockwise to engage
the locking mechanism. The handle should sit horizontally at 9 and 3 and the keypad screen
should display a ✓1000 with a barcode or X1002. Verify that the handle cannot be turned back
and that it is locked in place. (take photo of the code on the keypad screen for your required
deliverables):

28. Install provided promotional items: small door cling, large window cling, poster, banner, yard
sign. Take photos of all installed promo items. (if site does not allow, a MOD name/signature is
needed)

29. Return the keys to CoinFlip using the provided UPS return label (take a photo of the UPS drop-
off receipt for your required deliverables).

30. Finally, remove any reference masking tape/QC stickers from machine before leaving the job site:
