1.What is your idea with regards to the 3 categories of community?
My idea with regards to the 3 categories of community : geographical, functional
and relevant.
Geographical community is described as a collection of people who live in
the same geographical location, such as a village, town, district, area, or
territory. Examples include the sporting and intellectual communities. A
functional community is defined as a group of people who, while not
necessarily living in the same geographical region, share a same aim, such
as fighting for the same cause or having similar interests and ambitions.
Relevant community is an example of a collection of people who have
similar interests and aims as the communities around them.
2.Discuss the importance of understanding the dynamics of community
immersion?
Implementing this effort, it attempts to provide the basic necessities of
the community. As a result, ‘community action' will benefit the
community dynamics or degree of progress. It is critical to comprehend
these because they will accelerate the communities' development and
stability.
3. What is the relevancy of the immersion part of the NSTP program as
discussed in R.A.9163?
Community immersion is a strategy in community organizing that is sought
to imbibe among the NSTP trainees a better understanding and realization
of the different community concerns through the exposure on actual life
situations specifically in the deprived, depressed and the underprivileged
(DDU) communities.
4. Why would the trainess need to study the behavior of the people in and that
which composed the community of which they serve?
By observing the behaviour of trainees the trainer will be able to identify
those who have weaknesses in social skills. It will be necessary to improve
these skills and help trainees to develop greater self-confidence.
