X78 MULTI SHAPE
X78 Developed in the tradition
of well known K78
The pulling over and toe lasting machine model X78, hydraulic 9
pincers and thermoplastic injection, is suitable for any kind of work. A
special kit, in the basic version X78, grants a perfect lasting of safety
shoes and boots with iron or plastic toe cap. The X78 is completed with
wide range of standard features such as rotating pincers, new laser
projector and movable pincers system. Additional features are available
as optionals such as motorized wipers stroke, single pincers opening
device, rearward drafting, kit for pointed toe ladies shoes, and heel rest
with left and right movement . Special optional facilities allow to produce
“Goodyear” and “San Crispino” footwear.
The version X78SZ includes a hydraulic device, equipped with movable
wipers elements which extends the lasting over the ball area. Speed and
precision on the pressure control and easy maintenance reduce the operating
costs compared to similar machines equipped with compressed air system.

DECISIVE HELP TO ENSURE THE QUALITY OF LASTING

During the configuration of the work program a photo of the shoe is taken, which becomes the reference image. While lasting, a camera is filming
the shoe being lasted and compares it with the previously stored photo, showing both images overlapped on a dedicated monitor. The operator
can control the centering on the monitor. As soon as the comparison is satisfactory can proceed with lasting.

Technology available for
Master & Slave toe lasting machines
Thanks to the Mercalli Calibrator, the function to transfer the contents of a MASTER machine to one or more SLAVE machines is available. Work programs,
Mercalli Calibrator images, lasting data, details, pressures, etc. are aligned. All these data are entered during the creation of the program on the MASTER
machine. At the end of the creation the responsible of the MASTER machine sends the entire contents of the machine in appropriate storage spaces (Cloud,
NAS, Server, WEB Drive) and puts it available to the slave machines for synchronization.
SLAVE machines will receive notifications of new data available and at the end of synchronization the SLAVE machines will be archived identical to the
MASTER machine, such as work programs, Mercalli Calibrator images, assembly data, details, pressures, etc.

A hydraulic heel seat lasting machine, combing robust construction

with a high degree of automation, placed in prominent
position among the machines of this kind. The automatic wiper
temperature regulation assures perfect ironing of the seat.
The wipers operation, which can be automatically repeated, creates a
sharp edge of the back part and a perfect forming
without any wrinkle: the appropriate seat to attach the heel. If set for full
automatic cycle the machine assures a great output.
Generally it is not necessary any regulation for different models or height
of the last; anyway for the installation of the machine
and big changes of the type of work it is very easy to adjust all the controls
and the movements of the machine.

The new nailing system has also special functions to

increase tacks number in the central part of the heel in
order to reduce, up to zero, the spaces between one nail
and another. It is possible to enable the nails separately
for the first and second nailing phase, obtaining working
cycles with 25, 27 up to 30 nails per shoe, a quantity
never reached up to now with automatic machines.

K58Sti Heel seat lasting machine
The machine model K58STI is a new version of our heel seat laster
which from more than 50 years is successfully on the market. Owing
to a new system of clamping of the last with the heel pad, the heel seat
is perfectly moulded and sharpened on the edge; this is possible with
any type of uppers and by using both neoprene or thermoplastic
cements. For the latest there is the version with thermoinjection device,
which eliminates the worker employed at the manual application of glue.
Also special lasts, like the smaller children sizes, are easily lasted with
excellent results.
The machine K58STI has a considerable daily output : the last support
comes in automatically and allows an easy introduction of long bootlegs.
The adjustment for the different heights of lasts is automatic, therefore the
machine is fit for different types of work. The operating devices are electrical
and hydraulic. They are very sensitive and work very smoothly. To set the
machine the operator can make adjustments quickly and easily.

Tacks System CERIM technology
The innovative tacks loading system allows total flexibility as to the

choice of tacks quantity. As a matter of fact, it is possible to enable or
disable every single tack, from a minimum of 1 tack up to a maximum
of 23 tacks, to meet any working requirement.
Besides tacks feeders, independent on left and right side, allow the
use of tacks with a length between 7mm and 10mm without any
adjustment.
The new system offers high productivity combined with a flexibility
never seen before. The touch screen system allows to store the tacks
quantity so that the machine is automatically set at each pattern
change.
The new CERIM tacks system has been conceived using strong and
reliable mechanical components and particular quality of tacks is not
required.

The model K174 is a fully computerised, front loading, single-head,

twin station machine capable of doing two operations on the shoe
bottom using two independent tools operating alternatively.
• Roughing operation allowing different pressures and speed at any
programmed point and different speeds for toe, sides and heel seat.
• Istantaneous and independent programming and correction for right
and/or left shoe.
• Automatic brush grinding and height adjustment.
• Very high output.
• PROGRAMMABLE FIFTH AXIS: model K174 is the only machine of its
type which enables the roughing brush and pounding roller to work in the
same direction as if the shoe is being processed on manual machines,
i.e.parallel to the shank. The fifth axis enables the operating head to tilt
ensuring perfect results at the edge of the insole and the successful
processing of the very high heeled shoes and thus very narrow ball areas.

Cerim technology has developed, thanks to the experience

gained over decades of research in the shoe manufacturing field,
an automation system composed of complex machines (5-6
interpolated axes) that interacts with the workers in a shared
environment. Our decision was therefore to create an automation
system for shoe factories in which the machines are in symbiosis
with the man, who must maintain his centrality.
The concept is deliberately in contrast with industrial robots designed
to work independently without human presence. The transfer of the
last between the various interconnected machines that make up the
rink for bottom processing is made by CERIM CO.BOT, with the following
features:
• Programmable axes with high power motors.
• Programming of high-precision intake and discharge trajectories
• Programming system with touch screen display
• Self-diagnosis.
• Very high speed and transport capacity.

WORKING RINK CONFIGURATION

The wide possibilities of composition of the
working ring, mean that they can be
interconnected from the simple bottom
roughing machines to the most complex
machines with combined and simultaneous
processing. The presence of the operator is
necessary in order to load the first machine of
the working rink and perform the quality control
of the finished product. In some particular
configurations the same operator can also
perform additional machining operations on
board the same machines, such as for example
the pre-roughing with grinding device or the
gluing of the soles in an automatic way.
