1. In your own terms how do you describe morality and conscience?


- As well as merely witnessing received opinions or divine laws, conscience can also be
conceived as a moral sense giving us direct access to moral principles. Understood in this way,
conscience is typically seen as intuitive and influenced by emotions, rather than a reason-based
faculty.

2. How do you absorb or understand the concept of the greatest good?

- In Business and Commerce. Utilitarianism holds that the most ethical choice is the one that will
produce the greatest good for the greatest number. As such, it is the only moral framework that can
justify military force or war.
