OBJECTIVE TEST

it is a pen and paper test wherein the applicant’s answers can be compared and quantified
to yield a numerical score.

SUBJECTIVE TEST

it is a pen and paper test which is not easily quantified as applicants are given the freedom
to write their answers to a question.

INDIVIDUAL TEST

it is a test administered to a one applicant at a time.

GROUP TEST

it is one administered to a group of applicants.

PURPOSE OF TEST AND MEASUREMENT

 For getting knowledge about the progress


 For preparation of effective planning
 For knowing the abilities and capabilities
 For giving motivation
 For knowing the achievements in future
 For research and experimentations

WHAT IS ASSESSMENT?

It is the process of documenting, usually in measurable terms, knowledge, skills, attitudes,


and beliefs.

FORMAL ASSESSMENT

Have data which support the conclusion made from the test. The data is mathematically
computed and summarized.

INFORMAL ASSESSMENT

Are not data driven, but rather content and performance driven

FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT

A diagnostic use of assessment to provide feedback to the employee and the employer.
The goal of this assessment is to monitor the employees to provide ongoing feedback to
improve the organizations.

SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT

Is one attempts to assess the employee’s growth for the time being. Used to determine
the mastery and achievement of the employee on the task/work.

PURPOSE OF ASSESSMENT
❑To diagnose employee’s strength and weaknesses
❑To monitor the progress of the employees
❑To help evaluate the employees

WHAT IS EVALUATION?

Is concerned with the whole range of issues in and out. Used to determine the mastery
and achievement of the employee on the task/work.
