CONJUGATION OF VERBS AND ADJECTIVES

FORMAL POLITE FORM:

Remove 다 from the Verb or Adjective to get the word stem.

a VOWEL (to buy) ㅂ니다 (buy) ㄹ겁니다 (will buy)
Word stem ends in 팔다 Add: 팔습니다 Add: 팔을겁니다

a CONSONANT (to sell) 습니다 (sell) 을겁니다 (will sell)
PAST TENSE
Word stem ends in
앉다 Add: 앉았습니다
1 CONSONANT with
(to sit) 았습니다 (sat)
ㅏ or ㅗ
Word Stem ends in
오다 Add: 왔습니다
2. a VOWEL ㅗ,
(to come) ㅆ습니다 (came)
change ㅗ to ㅘ
Word stem ends in
CONSONANT 먹다 Add: 먹었습니다
