 The job title of the person is the Mental Health Program Coordinator for the County of San
Diego.
 This person will be in charge of a department of 12 employees that are working in mental Health
Programs.
 B. - Proposed interviewee's job description or duties
 The person chosen to occupy this position of Mental Health Program Coordinator should plan,
developing, coordinating, directing, implementing, and testing the activities and services of our
help program for people suffering from mental problems and drug addictions. The candidate
must have excellent knowledge of behavioral health.
 One responsibility is that you need to work with other social care services within a particular
region of the city.
 Essential Functions: 
 1. - Direct and coordinate the services of our program in the management of mental health and
drug addiction with other County services, with non-profit organizations and contract providers
 2. - Supervise, train, review, and test the work of professionals and support staff.
 3. - Identify the needs of the community, testing mental health services, handling the problems,
and developing plans and objectives.
 4.-Develop, implement, and monitor mental health programs and expand them when they have
the funds to do so.
 5. - Serve as a leader and technical advisor over task forces and projects necessary to improve in
mental health in our region.
 6. - Prepare a proposal to present to organizations that can help us with funds to support and
improve our programs.
 7. - Hold and conduct meetings with mental health service providers that allow a high level of
delivery of these services
 8. - Monitor and test if the mental health services provided by our programs are of the quality of
services and requirements specified in the contracts signed with the city.
 9. - Review policies and procedures of mental health services and deliver information to staff.
 10. - May serve as a representative on behalf of the County at meetings involving outside public
and private agencies.

 The Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH) in San Francisco.
 The department combines essential homeless serving programs and contracts from the
Department of Public Health (DPH), the Human Services Agency (HSA), the Mayor's Office of
Housing and Community Development (MOHCD), and the Department of Children Youth and
Their Families (DCYF). This merged department has a singular focus on preventing and ending
homelessness for people in San Francisco.

 The person I am interviewing for this position meets the Education requirements because she
has a Master's Degree in Public Health from the University of Berkeley, CA, issued in 2010.
 In the last five years, she was working with the San Francisco program helping homeless and
drug addict patients. She was in charge of this program for the last two years when she was
working in a management capacity.
