Hi,
You won’t believe what happened! I thought that we were the best team in our school, but we lost
the final match to a team from the same year as us!
At the beginning everything was fine. We scored the first goal, but then our best player, Josh, fell
over and sprained his ankle. From then on the situation got worse and worse. Our opponents scored
three goals in the next 15 minutes and we couldn’t pull ourselves together!
After the match, we discussed all our mistakes and decided to work hard not to make them anymore.
We also promised our coach that we would attend all the additional training sessions he offered us.
On Wednesday afternoon at 5 we are playing a return match against the same team. Would you like
to come? Maybe you could bring some friends with you to support us? I hope we win this time!

Hi,
I had to stay at home with my younger brother. He is ill and our parents didn’t manage to get home
before 10 p.m. They are working long hours to finish an important project before Friday.
Could you please send me some information about our class trip? Have you decided exactly where
we are going, how long the trip is going to be and how we are going to travel?
Next week I will have some free time, so I can help organize things connected with the trip. Please let
me know what was said in the meeting.
