Hi Matt,
How are you? Sorry I haven’t written for so long, but you know … another trip
with my parents. ☺ This time we were in the USA. Maroon Bells in Colorado was

Today: Jerry’s story, Ireland

Oh, Mr Repton!
‘One day I was sitting in my Geography class. In the middle of the lesson I was
really getting bored and stopped paying attention to the teacher. I only remember
Mr Repton was telling us about different types of stones. Suddenly there was a
loud scream. A girl sitting near the teacher saw a big mouse on the floor, next to
Mr Repton’s desk. The teacher looked first at the girl and then down at the floor
near his desk and screamed too: “A mouse, a mouse! A MOUSE is here!” Mr
Repton was really frightened and ran out of the classroom quickly. We didn’t
know what to do. Some of my classmates were now screaming loudly, others
kept quiet and some girls jumped onto their chairs or desks. I was a bit scared
too but decided to keep calm. The next thing I remember was that I stood up,
went slowly to the teacher’s desk. Looking at “that mouse”, I started laughing
right there because the mouse … wasn’t real! It was a grey and brown glove, not
a mouse. You can easily imagine Mr Repton’s face when he came back a few
minutes later.’
