their students." –Solomon Ortiz Every student has that one teacher who is their favorite because of how inspiring they were, or because they made the student look at things in a way like never before. Over the duration of my studies, there were many teachers, each one leaving a mark, some more inspirational and memorable than others. In my one-year journey of my law school, the most inspiring teacher to me is Prof.Dr.P.S.Ramya is a woman of knowledge, stature, intellect, and blunt honesty. Ramya mam was a sociology professor and taught me in my first and second semester. Before the commencement of first year classes a thought was going through my mind about the subject sociology, I was skeptical about the use of studying sociology and its relation to law. Even tough i never asked her this question, but she answered all of my questions and doubts through her teaching. There are teacher who teach us through books, ppts, presentations etc., but along with conventional way of teaching she has a very unconventional way of teaching which was very new to me, which is teaching through a movie, podcasts, songs etc. which keeps the class engaging and interesting all the time. I still don't know how she did it but she gave me a new way of looking at things through different perspectives. She always had an example which we can relate ourselves to and understand a concept through our own. I never once saw her lose patience with her students even those situations where most of us would. one of the things I have learned from prof.Ramya mam that has strengthened and is which would keep me going in life is that it’s not just what we see through our eyes is the only truth but there are many eyes which carries many stories.
I picked Prof.p.s Ramya because she had the most
rational approach and her unique way of teaching. Although she taught Sociology, she never failed to inspire everyone around her. She is one of the very few teachers that I will remember in my lifetime. I am happy to say that Prof.Dr. Ramya is that one teacher that has inspired me the most.
