EU aims to ease travel restrictions
The European Union has proposed its member states ease anti-coronavirus restrictions on
nonessential travel, allowing vaccinated foreign tourists to enter the bloc. people who received
shots with EU-authorized vaccines can enter the bloc even for non-essential reasons. It would
permit travel from countries with what it calls a good epidemiological situation. The
Commission recommended that the threshold number of cases from which all travel is allowed
be raised from current 25 infections per 100,000 people to 100.
