UMEED: A DROP OF HOPE

TASK 04 WEEKLY REPORT
FINANCE WEEK - FUNDRAISING

INTRODUCTION
I volunteered in the PAN INDIA INTERNSHIP conducted by UMMED
NGO. The task is to make a fundraising strategy and ask friends, relatives
or neighbours to support the cause. You can also take the help of
crowdfunding websites and social media. Umeed is an 80G registered
NGO, so our donors can enjoy income tax benefits as well. Fund raised
from the internship program will be utilized for Project Knowledge for
all, Project Chhaya, Project Go Green and Project Paridhan and running
expenses of Umeed.

MY EXPERIENCE

My overall experience was insightful. There were few people who were
ready to donate but a large group of people refused to do it. I visited my
neighbors, friends, and family to share the website photos that displayed
our effort. I informed them that every donations will go toward Project
Knowledge for All, Project Chhaya, Project Go Green, Project Paridhan,
and operating costs for Umeed. Additionally, they can profit from tax
advantages. After letting them know about for what purpose the
donations will be used, they were only a handful of people who were
ready to contribute.

DONATIONS
Through my contacts, a total of Rs. 2,101 has been donated to Umeed.
