Research Question:
How will energy transition impact climate change in the future?

Introduction and Scope of Energy Transition

The temperature of the Earth is going up. An increase in extreme weather events are
climatic changes brought on by global warming. Such environmental changes run the
potential of causing permanent harm.
This is due to greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere that are created by humans,
especially since the Industrial Revolution. To combat such severe climate change, we must
use energy transition.
Historical energy transitions are nothing new. Because of this incentive, the energy sector
has undergone fast change, with the cost of renewable technologies falling in a decade.
The ongoing process of switching from fossil fuels to low carbon energy sources is known as
the energy transition. A major structural transformation in an energy system affecting
supply and consumption is known as an energy transition. The realization that greenhouse
gas emissions must be eliminated globally is a major driver of the present shift to
sustainable energy.
In terms of aims and objectives, modern energy transitions vary. Different national systems
grew increasingly integrated as development went on, eventually growing to become the
vast, global networks we see today. Energy system variations throughout history have been
carefully examined.  While historical energy transitions typically took place over an
extended period, this is not necessarily true for the current energy transition, which is
occurring in a radically different political and technological atmosphere.
Generating power would be only one aspect of the energy transition. Undoubtedly, it
involves the industry's transition away from producing power through the combustion of
fossil fuels and toward the use of renewable resources like wind, solar, hydro, or
geothermal energy. However, the ultimate objective is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions
globally while advancing energy storage and electrifying important systems in industry and
transportation. Fuels containing low or no carbon content, like hydrogen, are being
advocated as answers to these dilemmas.
In the upcoming decade, renewable energy will tend to develop, surpassing fossil fuels and
eliminating greenhouse gas emissions.
Momentous changes are occurring in the global energy system, and technologies like the
sun and wind are at the forefront of these changes. Their expanded use is crucial for
initiatives to combat greenhouse gas emissions, diminish air pollution, and increase reliable
electricity.
Significance of this Research
The growth of alternative energy sources and the transformation of obsolete power plants
are creating more jobs and helping the economy. For the environment to be guarded from
the effects of climate change, the energy transition is imperative. This research will shed
light on the benefits and influence of energy transition on our climate and this
understanding of it before is crucial for further actions that are to be taken in the future that
will boost economic growth, produce new jobs, and improve social and physical conditions.
Natural catastrophes brought on by climate change have already increased in frequency and
severity. These will become more prevalent if we are unable to control the global average
temperature increase. This research will highlight towards the essence of energy
conservation and energy transition which needs to be studied to tackle increasing negative
changes in climate.

Research Objectives
- Analysing environmental effects of energy transition.
- Studying the role of energy conversion to fight climate change.
- Reviewing the methods by which energy transition promote climatic welfare.
- Analysing advantages of energy transformation.
- Analysing the authorities contributing to energy conversion.

Summary of Key Findings, Perspectives, Analysis and Reviews

Even though energy cannot be created or eliminated, it is nevertheless imperative that we
conserve it by utilising the present energy in our surroundings sensibly. Complex effects of
our energy usage choices on the planet's natural systems. We must be conscious of how
much energy we consume and manage our energy sources carefully. Energy obviously has
an impact on environmental problems, and they are closely related to one another because
it is basically impossible to sustain or even use energy without having a significant negative
impact on the environment. Some of the environmental problems that are directly related
to the production and consumption of energy include pollution and climate change.
Energy transformation demands significant investments in renewable technologies to
ensure energy usability, productivity, and sustainability. This investment stimulates output
and demand in a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing and construction,
which enhances the nation's Gross Domestic Product. Compared to the less ambitious
framework, where the additional financial flows will be less, the energy transition will result
in a significant global GDP because of this increased efficiency.
The switch to renewable and sustainable energy would not only help to keep global
warming to a minimum, but it would also be in line with the requirements of a post-
pandemic society. The energy conversion is also being propelled by governments  all over
the world as they are employing rules and establishing goals to increase the efficient use of
energy.
Any region that adopts such sustainable measures would see an increase in human welfare
as a result of much cleaner air and better health due to the replacement of fossil fuels with
renewable energy.
Long-term sustainable and renewable energy strategies or solutions improve the supply of
energy for households, alleviate the economic burden on nations, and even offer chances
for potential independence of energy. The conversion to sustainable energy necessitates a
plethora of tools, systems, and services, creating substantial job possibilities around the
world.
Modern countries are increasing their economies' vulnerability by prolonging a sustainable
energy transition In addition to being beneficial for the environment, collective action to
promote a renewable and sustainable transformation is vital in maintaining democracy.
Diverse technologies, including developing alternatives and renewable sources like solar
energy and wind energy, will be used in the energy transition. Governments, investors, and
businesses will primarily be the ones driving the necessary energy transformation to combat
climate change. Government involvement in achieving tackling climate change targets will
be significant, but corporate leaders will take significant steps to support the energy shift.
Therefore, a responsible and self-sustaining firm will also have a plan for long-term
sustainability, regardless of government action. The environment is significantly impacted
by energy and power industry.
Developing and rising nations consume an increasing amount of energy. Long-term severe
climate change mitigation will require raising the proportion of renewable energy in the
energy mix, enhancing energy efficiency, and overhauling the whole energy industry. Then
and only then will it be able to increase energy access for more people and stop climate
change.
The fight against climate change must include the energy transition. But the most important
thing is undoubtedly to approach the energy transition from a sober standpoint. We must
realize that this sustainable transition will only benefit the environment as a whole if we
make great efforts to drastically cut our energy use.
It can be therefore conceded that there are many environmental benefits to using
renewable energy sources of energy as they are sustainable are never-ending, clean and do
not produce rubbish that is difficult or expensive to treat.
In addition to this, energy transition will also reduce other toxic gas emissions to aid in the
fight against climate change along with resulting in a rise in air quality and encouraging
community development that is sustainable.
