Evaluating Information Sources: What Is A Peer-Reviewed Article? HW

A peer-reviewed article is a reviewed writing that is deemed appropriate for the topic. It

ensures the best quality of work and validity. There are characteristics to demonstrate whether

the article is peer-reviewed or not. These consist of the article being published in a scholarly

journal, including an abstract, citations throughout, organization of the heading, credentialed

authors, and lastly a serious tone. To ensure that a student has a peer-reviewed article, they can

search online library databases, read the descriptions, limit the article search to peer-reviewed,

and see if the results are organized manner. Categories of the “information sources” consist of

news-centered journals, scholarly journals, and lastly journals written by academic professionals.

One should always gravitate toward scholarly journals, and online databases and find reliable

sources including peer-reviewed articles.
