Literature Review: e-Leadership HW

Author DasGupta’s thesis is clearly defined and stated all throughout his article

re-mentions each main point, or theme, at the beginning of every section/subheading. The

author’s thesis is that an e-leader is no different from a leader and their goals are the same, but

the challenges they face, and the barriers they must overcome for the good of their team are

different.

The author does well to provide a quick and sufficient paragraph with an overview of all

the databases used, the number of journals/articles used for the study, and keywords to look for

throughout the article. In is located at the beginning of the article which provides a quick view of

all the resources the author has used before having to start reading. The evidence for his review

of the literature is that 77 articles that he used and took inspiration from in order to put together

into his own article

The author organized their article by compiling all the articles used into 3 main themes:

e-leadership, technology, and Virtual Teams & Workforces, and then organized the article with

one section for each theme, explaining them in detail and then explaining them as a whole in the

study.

What I could take from this article is how to properly organize my ideas and format them

correctly in my own article. I refer back to this article and use it as a basis or example of how to

include my topic and my themes surrounding that topic in a way that makes sense.
