His name is Evaristo Costa.
 Evaristo is a man from
São Paulo who works as
a journalist at CNN.
His family is from Brazil, but
Evaristo doesn’t live
in Brazil anymore. Now, he
lives in New York City.
He likes to live in New York
because it’s more beautiful
than São Paulo.
 He is a very famous
journalist and he has more
than 50.000 friends on
Facebook.
Evaristo likes to read books.
He loves to read books about
superheroes.
He has more than 500 books,
and he reads very quickly.

He can read two books in

less than 45 minutes!
Now, he is reading a book
about a superhero called
“The CIA Man”.

The book talks about a

strong man who needs to
buy a penguin.
 Evaristo has a very big
apartment with 2 floors
and 4 windows.

He always talks to his

neighbors before he goes to
CNN. Everybody likes him.
He goes to bed
at 11:45 p.m.
And he wakes
up at 8:15 a.m.
Sometimes, when it’s
a hot day, he takes
a shower with cold
water.
 He leaves his apartment at
9:30 in the morning and he
catches a yellow taxi.
There are more than 80.000
taxis in New York City!
 The taxi driver talks to
Evaristo about sports, but
he doesn’t want to talk
because he is very hungry.
 There is a really good
supermarket beside
CNN called “Buy & Eat”.
The driver stops the car at
the supermarket.
Evaristo has breakfast at the
supermarket because it’s
cheap and delicious.
He loves it!
He always eats some bread
and one piece of cake. He
also eats some fruits.

He never drinks soda

because he prefers to drink
juice.
Before eating, he takes a
picture of his breakfast
because he wants more
friends on Facebook.

He wants to have 135.000

friends on Facebook.
At night, he has dinner.
He likes to go to a very
expensive restaurant
called “Ritz”. He asks
the waiter if there is
panelada on the menu.
 The waiter answers:
I’m sorry, sir! We don’t have
panelada. But if you are very
hungry, we have some great
options. In my opinion, the
grilled salmon is the best option.
Evaristo doesn’t like fish. He
prefers chicken. He needs
another option.

Sorry, I don’t like fish.

 The waiter answers:
Yes, I can! I have another option
for you, sir. There is a new
recipe called “Heebiejeebies.”
It’s rice, beans, chicken and
salad!
Great! I want to eat

and I want to drink
a glass of wine.
