Functional User Requirement for Renewing NHIS card via MoMo

1. Customer dial USSD Code *929#
2. System validates the USSD code entered.
3. A list of options pops up
4. Customer selects option 2 (Renew Membership)
5. A list of options pops up
6. Customer selects option 1
7. System displays a popup telling the customer to enter NHIS Membership
Number
8. System checks the authenticity of the input made.
9. If NHIS Membership number is correct, the system displays the details of the
card for authenticity with options to confirm or not
10.Customer selects option 1 to confirm or option 2 to decline
11. If option 2 is selected, the system ends the session
12.If option 1 is selected, the system displays a list of mobile networks
13.Customer selects preferred mobile network
14.System prompts user to enter his contact number whiles displaying the cost of
the renewal
15.Customer inputs mobile number for the selected mobile networks
16.The system notifies the customer to expect a prompt from the mobile network
17.The mobile network sends a transaction alert to customer to confirm payment
of the said amount
18.Customer enters pin code
19.The mobile network system display a popup for user to approve payment
20.Customer selects option 1 to confirm payment
21.Or Customer selects option 2 to decline payment
22.The mobile network system sends SMS alert indicating current status of the
transaction if successful or failed.
23.NHIS system sends SMS to also indicate status of transaction
Note: The system validates all entries made before displaying the next action. Wrong
inputs multiple times will close the popup unless customer starts the whole process
again.
