BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF MRS.

ELIZABETH JONATHAN ADAMU

Mrs. Elizabeth Jonathan Adamu hailed from Lankan in Pankshin LGA of

Plateau State. She’s the 4 th child of late Hon. & Mrs. Daniel D. Danfulani.
She was born on 28th October 1967 in Bakori town, Bakori Local
Government Area Katsina State where her father had been stationed as
a field operations staff of the then Sleeping Sickness Services.

Mrs. Elizabeth Adamu started her primary school education in Shendam

and later completed at Holy Cross Primary School, Pankshin in 1981.
She attended the Girls High School Gindiri, completing in 1986. She
subsequently attended the Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin Ladi
between 1987-1990 for the Ordinary National Diploma and the Federal
Polytechnic Bauchi from 1991 to 1993 for the Higher National Diploma
in Catering and Hotel Management. She did her national youth service,
teaching Home Economics at the Government Secondary School
Laranto, Jos between 1994 -1995.

Over the years, she worked in Sheraton Hotel and Towers Abuja, Tati
Hotel Jos, and as part-time Lecturer, Centre for Continuing Education
University of Jos. She also ran various businesses.

She met her husband, Mr. Jonathan Ifuu Adamu in 1990 and they got
married in Takum, Taraba State on 10 th April 1993, a relationship for
which she was happy and grateful till her death. The marriage is blessed
with four children.

Mrs. Elizabeth Adamu gave her life to Christ in her teenage years. She
was thereafter baptized in 1984 in COCIN Ulster Church Gindiri. She
held various service positions in the churches that she fellowshipped in
Jos, especially the caring and hospitality units. In her life, Mrs. Elizabeth
Adamu faced a number of challenging situations, but her anchor on
Jesus Christ and her faithful and fervent prayer life always helped her to
overcome them. When she was faced with the possibility of death
recently, the most important thing to her was “I do not want to lose my
faith” and she kept that faith till her transition.

We remember her for being a loving and dedicated mother. She was
steadfast, hospitable, helpful and generous. She was a great organizer.
She had a large heart, was very helpful and concerned for the wellbeing
of those who came her path. Her hands and feet were ever ready to
serve and to help persons in need.
