1) A poem is apiece of writing in which the words are separated in lines often ending with
rhymes and their words are chosen because of their sound or meaning.
2) Poetic devices are literary devices that help the poem be meaningful adding meaning
to otherwise meaningless sentences.
3) Rhyme: A rhyme is the repetition of sounds at the end of a line.
Irony: Irony is the contrast between expectation and reality.
Assonance: An assonance is the repetition of vowel sounds.
Metaphor: A metaphor is an abstract comparison without using like or as.
Alliteration: Alliteration is the repetition of consonant sounds.
Euphuism: A euphuism a lighter way to say something.
4) Rhyme: As he cried
His world became fried.
Irony: A child runs away from his home that seemed much to hard, To find out the pain
had only began.
Assonance: The hat man had had heard.
Metaphor: She bloomed in the summer.
Alliteration: many muffled men.
Euphuism: She passed away.
