Portfollio form and function essay

Portfolios can be used in several useful and helpful ways, such as assessments, reflections and job

searches. For example, a portfolio may provide employers with enough validation to hire you for the job

you've applied for. In addition, an overall reflection for a class or course can be viewed as a portfolio to

see what you learned in class. Professional development is crucial for a person's ability to excel in their

field of study and career. Keeping a portfolio of the training, workshops, conferences, and many other

activities that may benefit you in your field of study and career can demonstrate your commitment and

growth to those who wish to view your portfolio.

As mentioned before, a portfolio can be used in many different ways to benefit you; however, a

portfolio can display both your strengths and weaknesses to view how you progressed over the semester.

Additionally, a portfolio can benefit the professor for a number of reasons, yet one example can be the

professor being able to analyze your work overtime and see how well you did throughout the semester.

Moreover, a portfolio can serve as a tool for evaluation and assessment in order to provide both negative

and positive feedback in certain areas of the course. Overall, a portfolio submitted to a professor at the

end of the semester serves as a valuable tool for both the student and the professor. It allows the student to

reflect on their learning and progress while giving the professor a comprehensive view of the student's

work and development.

A portfolio can be used to view an overall analysis of the course and can prove to be valuable in

determining whether or not the professor's teachings proved to be essential for the student's growth. Thus,

some things you can include in your portfolio can be reviewing the course syllabus, reflecting on your

learning goals, and considerable feedback. These sub-topics for the portfolio can properly serve as a great

way to explain certain areas of the curriculum you may have learned and show the professor what type of

knowledge you gained by the end of the course.

I will organize my portfolio in the following order. First, the table of contents and introduction.

Secondly, group, of course, themes that include work from various assignments and activities, all while

chronologically ordering the work given to me throughout the semester. Lastly, the type of assignments

will be filtered and sorted in order to keep them condense and make it easier for the professor and

audience to find a certain type of assignment they are looking for. Descriptions will also be included for

each group of assignments listed in the portfolio and will explain the details related to the type of

assignments found in the groups.
