WHAT CAN WE DO TO
MAKE OUR WORLD GREENER?
1
Green building projects have surfaced in the last few decades as a symbol of
the world’s preoccupation for ecological affairs. However, just as solutions
to climate change have emerged, so have those who capitalize on the need
for green alternatives.
2
Green building is a resource-efficient method of construction that produces
healthier buildings which have less impact on the environment and cost less
to maintain. This sustainable approach to construction accounts for a
building’s entire life cycle: siting, design, construction, operation,
maintenance, renovation and demolition
As the green buildings industry evolves and matures with more support from
formal policies, standards, and incentives, the challenge is to continue refining
those mechanisms and the building practices and technologies they represent
and guide. Since their introduction, green buildings have helped make notable
progress in reducing building sector energy consumption and environmental
impact.

Why do Green Building Components Matter?
Green building components refer to the various elements that make a structure
environmentally friendly. It includes everything from the materials used in
construction to how it operates. Utilizing green building components can have
some benefits, both for the environment and for the people who occupy the space.
The most vital benefit of green buildings is that they help reduce pollution.
Facilities are responsible for a significant portion of air pollution, and by
using materials and designs that limit emissions, green buildings can make a
big difference.
5.
Renewable energy sources, including solar, are often factored into green
buildings. For example, some use photovoltaic panels for on-site solar power
generation. Others employ passive solar building design strategies that
physically position building elements, including windows, walls, awnings, and
landscaping, to maximize the benefits of cooling shade in summer and solar
warmth in winter. The concept of daylighting calls for orienting windows in a
manner that makes best use of natural light inside the building and reduces
electric lighting needs. And solar-powered water heating cuts down on energy
costs.

One way people can reduce their impact on Earth? Use sustainable building
materials! If you want to know more about it or are planning to construct an
environment-friendly building, incorporate these elements into your commercial
building!
Unlike all that modern science fiction I don’t really think life would change that
much in 50 years. Maybe our everyday lifestyle would be much greener comparing
to what we have now.
Well , one thing I can tell for sure is that climate change would still be a great
concern .
The single greatest threat to human health from climate change will likely be the
danger it poses to plants and our food security. Throughout the world, stable crops
such as wheat, corn, and rice will be harmed by the combination of heat waves and
drought associated with climate change.
The impacts of climate change are wide-ranging and can be seen in many aspects
of our environment, including:
1. Rising sea levels: As temperatures rise, glaciers and ice sheets melt, causing sea
levels to rise. This can lead to coastal flooding, erosion, and the loss of valuable
ecosystems.
2. Extreme weather events: Climate change can cause more frequent and severe
weather events, such as heatwaves, droughts, hurricanes, and floods.
3. Changes in ecosystems: Climate change can cause changes in the distribution and
abundance of plant and animal species, and can also alter the timing of seasonal
events such as flowering and migration.
4. Food and water security: Climate change can affect crop yields and water
availability, which can lead to food and water shortages in some regions.
5. Public health: Climate change can increase the spread of disease vectors such as
mosquitoes, and can also exacerbate air pollution, leading to respiratory illnesses.
While population growth can bring benefits such as increased economic output and
cultural diversity, it also poses a number of challenges. Some of these challenges
include:
1. Strain on resources: As the population grows, there is increasing demand for food,
water, energy, and other resources. This can lead to resource scarcity and
environmental degradation.
2. Urbanization: As populations grow, more people are concentrated in urban areas,
which can lead to overcrowding, traffic congestion, and increased pollution.
3. Pressure on healthcare and education systems: As the population grows, there is
increased demand for healthcare and education services, which can strain existing
systems and make it difficult to provide quality care and education to everyone.
4. Conflict and displacement: Population growth can lead to competition for
resources and can exacerbate political and social tensions, leading to conflict and
displacement.
