How to install Service updates in TAFJ

 
Service-related updates can be identified by the corresponding component name. For example, if the component name ends with "Service" then the installation of
the corresponding updates has to be handled properly.
Below are some examples of service updates.
RXX_IF_IntegrationLandscapeSSe errvviiccee_X
RXX_IF_IntegrationFrameworkSSe errvviicce
e_X
RXX_EB_ResourceProviderSSe errvviiccee_X
When the latest updates of such service components are to be installed, please follow the below steps.
1.     Copy the updates zip in the updater\updates directory and run the updater.
2.     In TAFJ_HOME\updates directory the jars will be placed in the corresponding updates folder name.
For example: If RXX_IF_IntegrationLandscapeSSe errvviicce
e_X is installed, once the updater is run a folder named RXX_IF_IntegrationLandscapeService_X will be created in
the TAFJ\updates directory with the below structure.

3.     Please note that only the jars present outside the "Extensions" folder have to be replaced in the t24lib(precompiled) path or the classes path mentioned in the
case of the Application server.
4.     The "Extensions" folder will have the below structure where each folder has separate jar files which is used for specific purposes and these jar files need not be
copied into the t24lib or classes path.

These folders are generated by ComponentFramework only for components that contain external' methods in their .component definition. Please check the usage of
the jar files present in this folder which is explained in detail below.

• Contains Methods wrapped inside an EJB. For example, EJB of IF_IntegrationFramework, IF_IntegrationFlow, and EB_OFSConnector component is used by
IntegrationFramework Adapters running inside OSB, IIB, Fiorano, and Tibco ESB.

• Contains artifacts to call out of T24 into Java/C from within T24 if required. Currently only used by PW to call out to jBPM to fetch next task.

• Contains component SOAP Web Service API deployed inside axis2.war. These API are currently used by all of Design Time tooling i.e. Design Studio to introspect
and install models from/to T24. IntegrationFramework Eclipse Plugin and TWS Eclipse Plugin uses them to introspect T24.
