\Worksheet 3: Habit Two: Begin with the End in Mind

Daily you will face questions about issues that will affect your future beginning
right now. Decide how you will respond to these questions before you face them,
that way you know what to do when the time arrives.

School Work
Drop out or stay in school?
I would stay in school because I really care about my future.
Do as little work as possible and just get by?
I would do as much work that makes me happy or proud of myself
Begin scholarship applications today or put them off?
I would start my scholarship applications today so I don’t wait last minute and I
can be prepared and plan in time.
Decide on a college or university or have someone else decide for you?
I would decide because it’s my future so it’s my choice.
Sex
Have sex or abstain?
Abstain because im not ready for that
Cave into pressure from your partner or not?
No because I wouldn’t like to be forced
Not have sex and talk about it like you do?
I wouldn’t talk about it because its not something cool or to brag about.
Always use protection or just when it is easy?

Drugs and Alcohol


Take drugs or not to?
I wouldn’t take drugs because it will affect me and I know it’s not good.
Experiment with drugs or not to?
I wouldn’t experiment with drugs because I know I wouldn’t like it and it will be
bad for me
Drink and drive or be the designated driver?
I would be the designated driver because I don’t even like drinking it doesn’t taste
good.
Assist others in doing drugs or not?
I wouldn’t assist others on doing drugs because I wouldn’t even have drugs and I
won’t others to do good in life.
Creating a Mission statement

A personal mission statement is like a personal motto that states what your life
is about. It can become a map for your life's journey. Since your destination is
not yet decided, why not decide today to make your life extraordinary and leave
a lasting legacy?

To create a mission statement answer the following questions:

1. Think of a person who made a positive difference in your life. What


qualities does that person have that you would like to develop?
My older brother because he’s had a dream to become a professional soccer
player so he went out of state to pursue his dream and he’s been offered
to do bad stuff but he declines because he really cares about his future
which I do to so I look up to him.

2. Imagine yourself in twenty years. You are surrounded by the most important
people in your life. Who are they and what are you doing?
My family because they are the most loyal or real people and they would never turn
their back on you no matter what and they will always lift you up.

3. If a steel beam (6 inches wide) was placed between two skyscrapers, what
would you be willing to cross for? A thousand dollars? A million dollars? Your
pet? Your brother? Fame?
I would do it for my family and for money because its stuff I love and its easy
money because im not scared of heights and I can just walk straight.
4. If you could spend one day in a great library studying anything you wanted,
what would you study?
I would study about something that has to do with doctor because if soccer
doesn’t work out I would like to be a doctor. Or a book that will make me more
discipline because it’s important to be discipline to do something you really
want to accomplish.

5. List ten things you love to do. (It can be anything, singing, dancing, reading, daydreaming)

When my brother achieved to move out the state and get offered and it inspired
me because if you really want something and you work for it you can get it.

7. 5 years from now your local paper will write a story about you. The reporter
wants to interview 3 people about you. Who would they be and what would they
say?
They would probably interview my family such as my mom, my dad, brother, or
sister. They would say I would like to have fun and I would do anything to have
fun and I’m not patient.

8. Think of something that represents you (rose, song, animal). Why does it
represent you?
A soccer ball because everything I do is to become a professional soccer player
and soccer is a part of my family so it means a lot.

9. If you could spend one hour with any person who ever lived who would that be?
Why that person? What would you ask?
I would spend one hour with Cristiano Ronaldo because he inspired me
because he came from nothing and got to be one of the best players in
the world and I would like to have his mentality. I would ask him what I
can do to be like him or better.
