Creating a Mission statement

A personal mission statement is like a personal motto that states what your life
is about. It can become a map for your life's journey. Since your destination is
not yet decided, why not decide today to make your life extraordinary and leave
a lasting legacy?

To create a mission statement answer the following questions:

1. Think of a person who made a positive difference in your life. What


qualities does that person have that you would like to develop?

My parents and adult figures have a positive difference in my life because


they always what to do and are prepared for decisions and would like to
develop these skills.

2. Imagine yourself in twenty years. You are surrounded by the most important
people in your life. Who are they and what are you doing?

My family and my friends are surrounded by me in twenty years and were all
helping each other in life.

3. If a steel beam (6 inches wide) was placed between two skyscrapers, what
would you be willing to cross for? A thousand dollars? A million dollars? Your
pet? Your brother? Fame?

If the steel beam was placed between two skyscrapers I would be willing to
cross for my cats because I can’t live without them.

4. If you could spend one day in a great library studying anything you wanted,
what would you study?
I would study math so that I could get a better understanding of it, this would
help in the long run with tests, midterms, or just helping others.

5. List ten things you love to do. (It can be anything, singing, dancing, reading, daydreaming)

A time I was deeply inspired was when I drawing/ painting and I was inspired by an
artist that I found so I took inspiration from them to make my art piece.

7. 5 years from now your local paper will write a story about you. The reporter
wants to interview 3 people about you. Who would they be and what would they
say?
3 people I would want the reporter to interview about me would be my parents, my
best friends, siblings because they are the ones who know me the best. They would
probably say how helpful I am, my likes and dislikes, my personality.
8. Think of something that represents you (rose, song, animal). Why does it
represent you?
Something that represents me would be the sun because to me represents
determination which is something that I strive to be whether it’s in school, or my
regular life.

9. If you could spend one hour with any person who ever lived who would that be?
Why that person? What would you ask?

If I could spend an hour with any person who ever lived would be maybe my
grandparents to learn more about their lives and get to talk to them.
