This method makes it possible to control the melting rate, while
simultaneously controlling the weld penetration. The improved
weld penetration control makes it possible to weld sheets of
the thinnest thicknesses. The W 400 produces highly e ­ fficient
­quality without burnouts, and it is suitable for aluminum,

The variably adjustable AC frequency of 50 to 200 Hz results in Throat

AC TIG: Aluminum is usually welded with alternating current (AC). The oxide layer

With this method, it is possible to weld thicker aluminum materials with high-efficien-

DC TIG: steel, stainless steel, copper, copper alloys, titanium and others are welded

supplied argon shielding gas.

STANDARD: Rectangular pulse shape in which the peak value of both polarities is

The complete welding system

The OTC system combines the


­development of welding robotos and
new welding processes to a ­perfect
synchronized total solution. The
­developed components are harmonised
to each other and lead to optimal easy
usability which makes the tuning of
­welding processes very easy.
Torch DTWH 6500 S:
1,000 A high-performance
exchangeable neck torch, with
integrated shock sensor and 650 A /
100 % duty cycle, water-cooled with
heat shield.

Roboter FD-V20:
Six-axled welding robot, with a
payload of 20 kg.

Welbee DPS welding machine:


In this system, two digital inverter
welding machines with an integrated
Welbee processor are connected in
parallel.
The unique “Welbee” developed by
OTC is based on the future-oriented
nanotechnology. Welbee enables
high-quality welding with the help of
the precise regulation of the current/
voltage profile via ultra-fast control
circuits.
