Product Overview
Vertiv™ Aisle Containment System is a rack-independent data center aisle product manufactured by Vertiv™. It
is deployed in indoor environments such as edge locations and medium and large data centers, blocking the
mixing of hot and cold air and increasing the efficiency of data centers. The system is fully compatible with
Vertiv™ cabinets or other 42-52U cabinets that meet the requirement of the EIA-310-D standard.
 Closed, modular, standalone solution
 Separated cold and hot areas provide more options, as e.g.:
 Cold air is blown to the space between the IT Racks and hot air is blown
out outside the aisle containment
 Cold air could be provided by perforated raised floor –thermal
components are not part of the Aisle containment solution

 Product Features
 The length of the closed aisle can be adjusted

between 3048 mm (10 ft) and 4876.8 mm (16 ft)
and the aisle length increment is 50.8 mm (2 in.).
 The aisle length can span across multiple

sections.
 Aisle width is available in three sizes: 914.4 mm

(3 ft), 1219.2 mm (4 ft), and 1828.8 mm (6 ft).
 Aisles can be configured in cabinets of different

heights, widths, and depths.
 Flexible installation supports raised floor and

Product Overview
 The height of the aisle is compatible for Vertiv rack and 3rd rack from 42U to 52U.
 The roof have two different styles, lateral ceiling (fixed roof and shrink roof) and vertical duct.
 The surface color is RAL7021, fine texture surface.
 The total load capacity of the system is 2000lbs.
 All the sheet metal of the system is earthed reliably.

Aisle Frame
Aisle frame is the main structure of the Aisle Containment System, which is composed of Vertical Post, Width
Connector, Extendable Beam, and Cantilever Arm. Width Connector

 Each aisle containment is equipped with 2 doors.
 3ft and 4ft aisle width door is single swing door, 6ft aisle width door is dual swing door.
 Doors come standard with allowing a maximum 100°door opening.
 Door closers are installed, fix at the opening angle no more less 90°, otherwise auto-close to
maintain aisle containment integrity.
 Mechanical lock is installed on door to limit access to the aisle.

 Vertical duct can telescopic in height direct to adapt to the height of the top ceiling, the
highest top ceiling is 15ft.
 The length of the vertical duct can be expanded to adapt to the length of frame, the
telescoping range from 10ft to 16ft.
 The minimum light transmission of vertical duct is greater than 79% .
 Vertical duct frame and top ceiling are sealed to prevent cold and hot air mixing.

The sliding panel is used to fill the gap between the duct panel and the top

 Lights are installed in the extendable beam of the aisle frame, and the cables are hidden and
deployed in the cable channel of lighting bracket.
 The light can be turned on or off by manual switch or motion sensor.
 When the people enter the aisle, the aisle lights automatically opens by induction.
 When people leave the aisle, the aisle lights will be automatically turned off after a certain time delay.

 Cantilever arm is mainly used to support cables and other equipment.
