In Qi Men, Yi 乙 is known as the Heavenly Virtue 天德 but it may also be
referred to as the Yi Noble 乙奇. In Qi Men Analysis, Yi Wood can be
used to support and protect the Jia Stem, which is vital for a positive
reading, and this is why it is known as one of the Three Nobles.

Yi Wood may be imagined as a political player, gifted with the powers 乙

of persuasion and negotiation. They may not take the limelight but they Yi

are in control behind the scenes, guiding events towards a conclusion

of their choosing, even manipulating their enemies into supporting their
goals. Jia Wood, on the other hand, is supportive of covert action,
disguise and the power of distraction.

This Stem denotes an increase in wealth when timely. When untimely, it

denotes deceit.
