In Qi Men, Ding 丁 is known as the Great Moon 太陰, or Jade Maiden
玉女. Like Bing Fire, Ding Fire is usually related with qualities such as
outgoing, superb networking ability and bringing out the best in people.
Its sentimental and nurturing streak will mean that Ding Fire is often
affiliated with kindness, always helping others where possible. But, like
all Yin formations, it is also related to a sense of dishonesty. Ding Fire is 丁
supportive of using stealth and cunning to achieve a victory. Ding
Ding Fire is often denoted with taking the fast track and working to
overcome the challenges as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
For this reason, it often has an affinity with technology. Ding Fire is
associated with a strong drive forward, and it is unlikely to be content
to wait for opportunities to present themselves.
