instrument (Principle 2)
Objectives:
1. to illustrate how one's handwriting is affected when a person writes in a
different position;
2. to describe the handwriting produced in different writing positions;
3. to determine if the writings still have some of the handwritings'
distinguishing features.
Procedure:
1. Write one complete sentence in the boxes provided below.
2. Use three different writing instruments (pens) of various brands (e.g.,
ballpoint pen and fountain pen).
3. Write the sentence in different positions like standing, setting, at the back of
your classmate, and writing the same in hurry.
4. Write the same sentence in a porous surface.
5. Use the same writing style in all sentence.
6.  Evaluate these writings in its overall physical appearance.
A. Normal condition

B. Standing Position

C. Writing at the back of the classmate

D. Writing in hurry

E. Writing in a porous or rough surface

Activity 4. Combination of handwriting characteristics essential elements of
identification
Objectives:
1. Identify handwriting elements;
2. Compare the handwriting elements found on the two sets of handwriting.
Procedure:
1. Identify the writing characteristics; indicate by putting
an arrow pointing at the writing characteristics or
elements.

Activity 5. Individuality of Handwriting

Objectives:

1. to conduct a visual examination of the two examples of handwriting;

2. to determine the subtle consistency in the handwriting;
3. to establish the normal writing habits and degree of variation; and
4. to find if the writings shared an independent, primary controlling pattern
with the author.

Procedure:
1. Take note of the writing style found from the two-handwriting sample.
2. Compare the writing stroke between sample 1 and 2.
3. Decide whether the two-sample shared primary controlling pattern.
4. Determine the existence of consistency in slant, letter size and spacing
between letters in two samples.
5. List the individual characteristics of each sample of handwriting.

Note: Always remember that there are differences between handwriting samples
created by the same person. However, you can safely assume that the documents
do not have the same author if you discover that one document or signature
contains at least one recurrent characteristic that is absent from the other sample.
1. Were the two samples written in a similar style? (Please state the style of
writing.)
