1. What are the reasons why you should not engage in any form of gambling?
In my personal point of view there are many reasons why I should not or you should not
engage in gambling. Gambling is not just about making a bet and losing money, but gambling
can affect our personal life. The first one is that it can affect your self-esteem, we know that
gambles is about taking chances and you do not know if you are going to win or not. There
are times that you are going to lose and in that your self-esteem gets lower because you lose
in the game. Gambles can sometimes boost or lower your self-esteem and it depends on the
situations. The second one is that it can affect your relationships, whether it is your family,
co-workers and even your friends. Gambling can lead you to addiction and in that you will
find a way on how you can participate even though you don’t have any money. The money
that should be for the food of your family will be lost because you use it in the gambling. In
that the family will start to argue with each other. Third, it can also affect your mental and
physical health because you will prioritize your addiction and you do not think of yourself
anymore. Yes, gambling could give you happiness but not a happiness that is genuine and
strong because you always think about money and money.
In addition, it is not good to gamble because it could make other people lazier. They will
think that gamble is the only way to have an easy money and to make your life easier not
realizing that this kind of addiction just lead you to become lazy.

2. Which of the Bible texts mentioned in the material you think is more appealing
regarding gambling avoidance? Why?
Among all the bible text that has mentioned in the groups report, the verse that is more
appealing to me is the verse in 1 Timothy 6:10 which gives us a warning that we have to
avoid the love of money because the love of many is the main root or cause of all evilness. I
really agree to it that money is the root cause of all evilness in this worl because we know that
money could give us everything we want. The riches, material things, it can also give us
education. Most of the people, money is the source of their happiness and I can’t deny the fact
that money is also the source of my happiness because if I have money I can able to paid my
tuition fee, I could have my baon and whatsoever. But that is not the case, the bible did not
tells us that having money is a sin instead it tells us that the love for money is a sin. We
should work hard for ourself. We should care not for riches and for the things on earth but we
should focus ourselves in the kingdom of heaven, because in heaven we could find true and
genuine happiness.
