ASSIGNMENT GUIDELINES

WHAT IS A BUSINESS RESEARCH PROPOSAL?

Each student has to prepare a research proposal based on a problem he/she wants to solve it.
Reflect the research to the Saudi environment. Student is required to find at least 25 to 35
articles that published in high impact business journals to contribute to the literature review in
the subject matter.

RESEARCH PROPOSALS
The research proposals must address the following

CHAPTER ONE (Not less than 13 page)

Introduction
Background of the Study
Problem Statement
Research questions
Research Objectives
Definition of Key Terms
Justification of the Study
Scope of the Study

CHAPTER TWO (Not less than 15 pages according to the dependent variable (DV) and
independent variables (IVs)

Literature review based on the theoretical framework

Research hypotheses
Design the research framework, showing all the variables, IVs and DV

CHAPTER THREE: METHODOLOGY AND RESEARCH DESIGN

Research Design
Quantitative approach or qualitative approach
Population and sampling design
QUESTIONNAIRE DESIGN

In other attachment you will find the research topic, IV’s and DV and research questionnaire.

HOW TO REPORT THE MAIN FINDINGS AND BUSINESS DECISIONS?

Each students is required to write at least a 50 page research "project" styled report of the whole
business research project (objectives, methods, findings and decision made).

THE REPORT FORMAT AND DATE LINE:

Write the management research based on the following outline.
 It should be neatly typed on A4 type of paper, using the 'font' Times New Roman,
size 12, 1.5 Spacing, and page number on center of each sheet.
 Bind your report using the normal binding (comb binding).
