➢ Business plan is a document which outlines the objectives- direction- clarity and reference for
both the entrepreneurs and the bank.
➢ The business plan must be neat-clean and attractive to encourage a person to continue reading
through it.
➢ The business plan need a lot of time-research and planning to get it together

1. PARTS OF THE BUSINESS PLAN


1.1 COVER PAGE
➢ The cover page must be smart and attractive
➢ The cover page must include the following information

a) Business name
b) Owner’s name
c) Address and telephone numbers
d) Logo or emblem of the business

1.2 SUMMARY OF THE BUSINESS IDEA


➢ Short and clear summary will encourage the reader to continue to read the whole
document.(first impression last)
➢ The summary must explain the following:
a) Why do you need finance
b) How much funds you require
c) How will the money be used
d) How will you repay the loans
1.3 BUSINESS DESCRIPTION
➢ On this part you must describe information about the following:
a) Any legal requirements
b) Product or service
c) Type of business e.g. sole trade
d) Long-term objectives
e) Anything that make your business special (competitive advice)
f) Why do you believe your business will be successful?
g) SWOT ANALYSIS of your business
