Orwell presents squealer as the embodiment of truth towards the animals whilst equivocating

that some animals eminently perceive his truth to be prominent lies.

In Chapter 2, Orwell employs the juxtaposing depictions of “black” to “white” for squealer to
pander his innate devotion towards napoleon to stabilize his ranking through the adjective
“white” that he will conceal truth and proliferate ludicrousness to manipulate the animals and
profoundly report them if they deviate from napoleons orders and consequently, have them
sentenced to death. This deceptive façade of animalism explicitly inhibits his satanic emergence
and gives connotations to the adjective “black”

Furthermore, the utilization of “Snowball has sold himself to Frederick” evoked by squealer,
arguably creates a cryptic tone as the kinesthetic imagery of squealer “nervously skipping from
side to side” simultaneously, this conveys his hypocrisy through the verb “nervously” as he
obscures the truth.

Subsequently, Orwell creates this satire to undermine Stalin’s propaganda machine

synonymous to squealer as it used lies to decept people to allow Stalin’s to perpetuate
oppression.

Orwell institutes the motif of education to be the product of Squealer’s convoluted language
suppressing the animals. The implications in chapter 3 of “I hope you do not imagine comrades,
we pigs are doing this in selfishness and privilege” foreshadows how the pigs become morally
decayed through utilizing education to gain power and desires and Orwell exploits education to
be pertinent as it could perhaps expose lies that squealer foretells and the truth that squealer is
concealing could perhaps be revealed.

Orwell may controversially be reflecting how even animals who are as smart as the pigs like
Benjamin remain passive and gratuitous this is further emphasized as he consistently says
“donkeys live a long time” nonetheless, are still manipulated by totalitarianism enforced by the
regime.

Conversely, this could perhaps be due to an immense degree of failures of past rebellions
where power is acquired for leaders who become dictators and establish spokesman who also
cause suffering for everyone through inequality and consequently correspond to Orwell’s main
silence for this nihilistic novel that communist societies are unachievable

In conclusion Orwell highlights squealers use of propaganda to be influenced by his dictator

napoleon to prolong his social class and additionally procure his desires
