Task 1 - Definition of vision and mission statement with examples

(a) Vision

"Based on your objectives and aspirations, a vision is a clear mental picture of what you want

your company to look like at some point in the future. Your company will have a clear focus if

(b) Mission Statement

Task 2 - Examples

(a) Vision

1. Walmart

Walmart is the best example of vision in recent businesses. Vision is at the center of Walmart's

business model, shaping everything from the way its stores are laid out to the products it sells. A

vision statement sets a company's direction for where it wants to go in the future. For example, if

you want your company to become an industry leader, you may want to mention this goal when

writing your vision statement. A good vision should also be specific enough that employees

know exactly what they need to do to achieve it.

2. Facebook

Facebook has been recognized as one of the top examples for visionary business, as it has

created some of the most memorable slogans in recent memory. For example, I'm not an

alcoholic but drinking is how I escape is a statement from their new campaign to prevent

underage drinking. They did so by having celebrities create images that are social media-

friendly-- such as this doodle made by Seth Rogen--accompanied with captions to remind

drinkers why they don't need alcohol to have fun.

3. Amazon

Amazon's vision is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. The company constantly

surveys their customers to find out what they want, and then tries to supply it. For example, after

discovering that many of their users were ordering books through third-party sellers, Amazon

stepped in to take control of the process by creating its own e-reader. It has also invested heavily

in becoming the go-to marketplace for goods from other vendors as well as its own.

4. Google

Google is an example of an organization with both of these statements in place. Businesses need

to have both a vision and a mission statement. Their vision is to organize the world's information

while their mission statement is to make information accessible.

5. Sam’s Club

Sam's Club is an example of vision in business. Sam's Club is the world's largest membership-

only warehouse club, with more than 650 locations in the United States and Puerto Rico. The

company employs approximately 147,000 associates. They offer discounts on bulk purchases of

items such as electronics, apparel, furniture, and jewelry. Their vision is to make members' lives

better.

(b) Mission Statement

1. Starbuck’s mission statement

As we expand, we are dedicated to becoming Starbucks, the leading provider of the

highest-quality coffee worldwide while upholding our unwavering ideals. We'll create the most

recognizable and well-respected brand name possible to fulfil this aim.

2. McDonald’s Vision statement

McDonald's vision statement is to be our customer’s favorite place and way to eat.

3. Apple

Apple founder Steve Jobs is responsible for one of the most well-known mission

statements. Through its cutting-edge hardware, software, and Internet offerings, Apple is

committed to providing the finest personal computing experience to students, educators, creative

professionals, and consumers throughout the world.

4. Twitter

Another example is Twitter's mission statement: Twitter's mission is to give everyone the

power to create and share ideas instantly without barriers.

5. Instagram

The goal of Instagram is to make it easier for users to capture and share moments from

the globe. A vision statement for the business states that everyone should have the ability to

share their lives through video.

Task 3 – General Analysis

Every one of these organizations has had a dream and statement of purpose that has

assisted them with making their future. Walmart's vision is to set aside individuals cash so they

can live better. Facebook's central goal is to enable individuals to share and make the world more

open and associated. Amazon's vision is to be Earth's most client driven organization. Google's

central goal is to coordinate the world's data and make it all around open and accommodating.

Sam's Club states. We will be the minimal expense pioneer in retail, setting aside individuals

time and cash. These models ought to give a motivation to your own organization.

A statement of purpose characterizes the association's business, its goals, and the way that it will

arrive at these targets. Apple's statement of purpose is to placed the force of individualized

computing into individuals' hands. This mirrors their system of making a PC that any typical

individual can use without requiring exceptional preparation or specialized skill. Twitter's main

goal is to empower everybody to make and share thoughts and data in a flash without hindrances,

which mirrors its objective of giving a simple method for peopling to speak with others and take

time. Instagram's main goal is to catch and share the world's minutes progressively mirroring its

objective of being a worldwide stage for sharing photographs via web-based entertainment stages
