1.) NCDE (National Collaborative for Digital Equity)
https://www.digitalequity.us/ Summary This organization is working to eliminate digital equity and the barrier it creates in economic and educational opportunities. NCDE offers information about educational laws and free dissemination or wide spread of information. They also offer counseling services in support of the limitation of digital equity. This organization was founded in 2013 by Dr. Robert McLaughlin and Dr. Paul Resta. Their goal was to speak to investors about how to approach digital equity. This organization is based in New Hampshire. Current leaders are: President Dr. Paul Resta Vice President Susan Ballard Secretary-Treasurer Dr. Robert McLaughlin Attendance I would attend to learn more about digital equity and how it affects education. 2.) NAPDS (National Associate for Professional Development Schools)
https://napds.org/ Summary This organization was created to support the professional development of schools. They believe in creating communities that will improve their students by preparing educators in professional settings. Professional Development School (PDS) began in 2002 when educators with the same mindset got together to address education. They are based in Washington D.C. Current Leaders are: Dr. Rebecca West Burns (No others mentioned) Attendance I would attend because I’d like to know more about education and how to become a good educator. This organization offers various resources to educators to create a good educational environment for students. National Conference The next conference will be held in Anaheim, California on March 24-26, 2024. Membership The current cost is $39 for a student and $100 for an individual. The benefits of this membership are: access to the NAPDS website and special resources Monthly webinars and online networking opportunities Reduced cost for NAPDS conferences and events 3.) NEA (National Education Association) https://www.nea.org/ Summary This association believes in creating opportunities for all. They hope public education will create a just and inclusive society. National associate with associates in various states. Current leaders are: President Becky Pringle Vice President Princess R. Moss Secretary-Treasurer Noel Candelaria Attendance I would attend because I also think public education should be available to all and should be just and inclusive. I think this organization would help me create a classroom where all students are welcome. I also think this organization will support their teachers and help them receive the treatment(payment) they deserve. National Conference The next conference will be held in Orlando, Florida, July 3-6, 2023. Membership This membership is $48. The benefits include: Loans (Credit, Home, Car, etc.) Retirement Plans Insurance (Auto and home, dental and vision, etc.) Travel Discounts (Theme parks, movies, etc.)
4.) Alliance for Decision Education

They believe in empowering children with the disposition and skills to make better decisions. By obtaining these skills children can make better decisions and create a better society. Sweeney Executive Assistant Michelle Milewski Education Senior Manager Abby Sheffer Attendance I think their mission is important in creating a better society. Children should learn how to make good decisions. Not only will it help them in their lives, but they are also helping society. I believe this alliance would help me teach my students how to think for themselves and make good decisions. National Conference No national conference, but special events that can be attended. The next event is the Graduate Student Research Form on May 16, 2023, in Philadelphia Membership No membership but there is a pledge that can be signed.
5.) NASET (National Association of Special Education Teachers)
https://www.naset.org/ Summary Only association dedicated to teachers and students in the special education field. It meets the needs of special educators and helps prepare students in the special education field. Current Leaders are: Executive Directors Dr. Roger Pierangelo & Dr. George Giuliani Attendance This association would help me in my preparation as a special education teacher. I would receive resources about how to manage and work in the special education field. National Conference No conference Membership The membership is $50 for students and $59 for everyone else.
