Verse A
As the music score develops more musical
ideas are added, this creates a polyphonic
texture to reflect on the old video game
style of music.

Introduction
I begin my piece by setting the
atmousphere with modulated
arpegiated chords played by an
electric piano.

Verse A - Return

This return of section a

is different to the
original section a as the
melodies become more
advanced as the melodic
ideas are more disjunct
and harder to play, this
reflects on the
advancement/ increase in
difficulty as you play a
game.

Verse B

In Verse B the; ' jumping, ' octave and high pitched

bass line is effective as it connotes on the
average video game noises you would hear when you
complete a quest, similar to section A, section B
also has a very distinct polyphonic texture which
flows into the return of section A.
 Summary

My decision to write a composition music piece based

around video game music is because i am already quite
fond of video game music it has become increasingly
sophisticated over the years, with many games
featuring complex and memorable soundtracks that
are beloved by gamers and non-gamers alike. By
drawing inspiration from these soundtracks, i can
create new and exciting works that pay homage to
the original pieces while also showcasing their own
unique style and creativity.
