The name france comes from latin word ‘francia’, which means ‘land of the Franks’.

France population is over 68 million. Capital city is Paris. The French flag is blue, white and red.

Of all countries in the world, France is the most visited. Approximately, 89 million people visit France year
to take in culture and enjoy the food. Paris is one of the most visited cities in the world, too.

France is also known for its Eiffel Tower. It is located in Paris. There is a secret apartment at the top of
the Eiffel Tower, now the apartment is open for public. If the weather is bad enough, tower can even move.
It looks very beautiful at nights.

French educational system divided into 3 different stages:


-primary education
-middle school
-secondary education
In the France, the children don’t wear school uniforms. But school days are very long, school starts at 8 AM
and ends at 5 PM. In French schools, math is basically king. French kids can learn lots of different languages;
mostly English, German, Spanish, and Italian. Lunch breaks are very long in French schools because their school
days are so long.

Most French citizens consider themselves to be Christian (primarily Catholic). Catholicism played a significant role
in French culture.
Equality and unity are important to the French.
France is recognized for its fashion, cuisine, art and cinema.

Traditional French cuisine is characterized by its cheeses, croissants, wines, breads, and sauces.

Paris is often called as the fashion capital of the world. France known for its luxury in Europe. Most famous brands
are Chanel, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent in France.

Today, art is highly regarded in France. If you visit France, you will also see artists in the streets painting.
The Louvre Museum in Paris is the largest art museum in the world. Before The Louvre Museum became museum
it was a fortress.

The French national sport is football. The most-watched sports in France are soccer, basketball, cycling and tennis.

Supermarkets in France are not allowed to throw away food. Instead, they must donate the food to a charity or
food bank. France passed this law in 2016 to help reduce hunger and prevent food waste.

According to all these facts, France is my favorite country. I wish to go to France and learn the French language.
