The table illustrated on page 78 shows the percentage of women aged 15-24 who have had a live
birth or are pregnant with their first child, and the percentage who have begun childbearing. The data
findings are categorized into 5 parts: age, residence, region, education, and wealth quintile to better
understand the topic. Each part would be compared to find out the greatest and lowest percentages to
find out if these categories play a part in early pregnancy and motherhood.

In the first part, we can see that percentage of women aged 15 - 19 has significantly lower results
in terms of those who have had a live birth(7.7%), those who are pregnant with their first child(2.5%), and
those who have begun childbearing(10.2%) than the women aged 20-24 which had a difference of 34.9%,
1.1%, and 36.1% respectively.

There are also significantly higher results in rural areas with 25.8% of women who have had a live
birth, 3.4% who are pregnant with their first child, and 29.9% of those who have begun childbearing while
the women in the urban areas only had 22.2% of women who have had a live birth, 2.6% who are
pregnant with their first child, and 24.9% of those who have begun childbearing.

Among the 17 regions: NCR, CAR, Regions I - XII, and ARMM, firstly, Region XIII - Caraga has
the highest percentage of women who have had live birth with 32.8% and the lowest region with only
20.9% is Region VIII - Eastern Visayas. Next is the region with the highest percentage of women who are
pregnant with their first child which is Region II - Cagayan Valley with a staggering 5.9% and the lowest
region with only 1.5% is Region IVA - CALABARZON. And lastly, Region XIII - Caraga also has the
highest percentage of women who have begun childbearing with 37.6% while the lowest is in Region IVA
- CALABARZON with 24.2%.

In terms of their education, it is found that women who had no educational background had higher
percentages of live births and have begun childbearing at 43.5%. It is also found that none of these
women were pregnant with their first child. Alternatively, the ones who had received higher education had
lower percentages of women having live births and childbearing beginnings.

Lastly, women in the highest wealth quintile shows that they have the lowest percentages of live
birth with only 11.4% and also the lowest percentages of women who have begun childbearing with only
13.2% but, they also have the lowest percentage of women that has had their first pregnancy with only
1.8%, which means that they are more likely to have more than one child already. Comparing these
finding to the women in the lowest wealth quintile, women who have had live birth, are pregnant with their
first child and have begun childbearing are triple the results of those in the highest quintile with
percentages of 34.0%, 3.3%, and 37.3% respectively.

Combining these findings, I can conclude that women who are younger, women living in an urban
area in region IVA - CALABARZON, women who does not have any educational background and lastly,
women who are in the highest wealth quintile are the ones who has the most pregnancy because they all
have the lowest percentage of people who have had their first pregnancy.
