TOPIC: SAY NO TO DRUGS ABUSE

While some people advocate for the taking and abuse of drugs, l virtually see their negative effects all
time. In spite of how some people justify drugs, l always pounder on the genesis of drugs and how
this social “Evil” can be made extinct from society.

Drugs are substances that cause harm to our bodies. Taking of drugs leads to drug addictions and such
is a worm in society. The number of teenagers and young people getting addicted to drugs is surging
on a daily basis. Various types of drugs like cocaine, marijuana, crystal meth, heroin is being
consumed like staple food.

After self-investigation, l gathered that many people are consuming drugs and abusing them owing
diverse reasons.

To start with, many times youngsters set addiction to drugs when they see others consuming them.
They are gripped by the sense of belonging and they start taking drugs. In their first encounter, they
will feel how the uncomfortable these drugs are. Continuity will make them get used, with some
“amazing fantasies” creeping in on the m obviously. It is, therefore, necessary that everyone in the
society stays away from drugs as responsibility

Listening to these youths, one can justify drug abuse saying economic hardships has promoted this
catastrophe. They say it is not the youth`s fault too drugs abuse since these youths are idle and some
even graduate from tertiary learning centers. Stress from seemingly unending hardships has made
them believe that they are failure have nothing productive to offer. Slow, they have succumbed to
failure and accepted their miserable lives hoods.

Not only has peer pressure and idleness contribute to drug abuse, a chase of fantasies ecstasy has
bought the productiveness of young people in our society has to its knees. One can not deny the fact
that drugs create some fantasies which make their consumers self-satisfied and eventually settle for
less.

Additionally, drug abuse and prostitution are intertwined. Lack of self-control and impaired
judgement has seen many youths did their own graves. What is happening to this generation? This
question continues to linger in our minds. Has the government failed to assist its citizens to stay away
from drug abuse? NO! The decision of stopping drug consumption squarely lies in the hands of the
decision maker.

In conclusion, l says no to drugs! They have robbed us our youth’s productiveness, focus and teas on.
Crimes have scatted and the overall health of today`s generation has deteriorated dismally. Our
society needs spiritual cleansing and continuous education to every citizen. Together we can fight this
“Evil” and together we can conquer!
