The CSU of Los Angeles is near downtown Los Angeles, northwest of the main
city. The application fee is an average amount, it is 70$ and the admission rate is really
high so you will most likely be accepted. The cost of going to any CSU school is about
$30,676 per semester which includes living there, classes fee, book fee, group fees, club
fees, and more. To attend a CSU without living it would be $13,236 per semester but this
school also gives out scholarships to students who have financial problems, are living
there, and for students who are taking harder classes. The rates of students who receive
financial aid is also really high with a 93.0% rate. The GPA requirement is also not high
Being a CSU college brings some sound of prestigiousness to it, so most would
wonder, “What does it take to get accepted?”. Weighted GPAs can have some effect on
your chances to get accepted. A weighted GPA is on a scale from 0.0 to 5.0. The grade
takes into account the difficulty of the class while an unweighted GPA doesn’t as well as
having a scale of 0.0 to 4.0. To be accepted into CSULA you must have a minimum GPA

in highschool of 2.67. Due to the college being a CSU there are no required exams to
Paragraph 3
CSU Los Angeles is a very good school and the graduate rates are very high
because most students find a need to finish good. Some majors they offer are Business,
Psych, Sociology, Health services, and criminal justices. CSU Los Angeles also offers 12
graduate programs; some are History M.A., Latin American Studies M.A., Mathematics
M.S., Political Science M.A.,Public Administration M.P.A.. The graduation rates are
82.0% which means that a lot more that half students graduate and that is the rate of
people who got accepted and graduated there. Apart from the graduation rate and classes
CSU also has really fun events, sports, clubs, and special days.
Paragraph 4
When most people think about what college they should go to, the thought of the
sports the college offers frequently jumps around the mind. CSULA offers lots of
different sports, some have multiple levels of play from D1 to D3. The most popular are
baseball, basketball, soccer, track, and cross country. The college mascot’s name is Eddie,
who is a golden eagle said to reflect and represent the diversity on campus. Some
historical facts about CSULA are that the college was the first to make a chicano studies
course, their biological science department has planted and grown roughly 5,000 trees on
campus since the college was founded, many of which are of different species, on top of
all that CSULA has won 25 Olympic albums since it started. The college also has taught

some noteworthy students such as Lucille Royball, Michael D., James A., and Warren
Bryant. Some fun facts about CSULA are that there are roughly 7,500 parking spots in
total all around the campus, the college’s course for business is rated in the top 20 in the
world, and the school is the only in the nation that allows students as young as 11 years
old into the college. CSULA also has its fair share of traditions like any college would.
To name a few there is the “fight song”, the “university seal” which is a seal with a
sunburst pointing to the location of the college, and the president's medallion.
In conclusion, we believe, given all this information about CSU Los Angeles, that it is a
good college. Rates for admission and application are priced well for the quality of
courses. The average student will spend roughly thirty grand, all expenses included. That
may sound like a lot but compared to other colleges average about 40 to 45k a semester.
Overall, this college seems like a really good school to attend, and the graduation rates
are high so we think the students have a reason to stay and graduate at CSU Los Angeles.
