STRENGTHS IN WORK:
Ali did an amazing job in my classroom this semester. She served two placements here, and put in more time than was required.
She genuinely loves the students, and took the time to get to know each of them - not just academically, but personal information

too. She would follow up on their interests and activities on a day to day basis. Ali also was successful teaching a variety of
lessons. She participated in both small group and whole group teaching experiences, and covered a variety of content areas.
Her lessons were well planned and thought out, utilized technology, and were engaging for the students. Ali also showed herself
to be collaborative. She worked with both myself, and my grade level partner. She asked great questions, was interested in
learning all that she could about teaching, and felt more like a teammate than a college placement student. Ali was also
assertive, taking time to meet the principal of my building, and spent time meeting with him to learn more about the school and
teaching from his perspective as well. Everyone who met Ali and worked with her at my building was very impressed with her
demeanor and potential.

SUGGESTIONS FOR GROWTH:
As Ali teaches more and more lessons on a consistent basis, she will grow in being able to plan for the timing of her lessons.
This is always a hard thing for young teachers. Student teaching in the fall semester will also help Ali see how to create
classroom expectations from day one, and establish her own routines and plans in relation to student behavior. As Ali teaches
more, she will be able to manage behavior in conjunction with teaching. This wasn't an issue for her, but is an area where it is
different when you are the only adult in the classroom.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
Ali was outstanding. She was one of the strongest Hope students I have had in recent history. My principal was so impressed by
her as well that he asked her to student teach in our building in the spring. This says a lot! I look forward to working more with
her next year.

RECOMMENDATION FOR STUDENT Highly Recommend: consistently outstanding quality work
