demeaner. He grabs a notebook. Out of his bag
with phone numbers and DR names and crosses
them off the list. Then he puts his book away.
He grabs his phone out of the bag aswell as he “Hey, yeah another one said no, I don’t know what to do now”

starts walking and he pauses while he rings his “Yeah they said it was due to them not being specialised in the area enough”
friend
“Wait, really? Are you sure? I don’t want you to feel you have too just Cuz im
disappointed”
The phone call ends and he puts his phone back
into his pocket and puts his earphones on. “OKAy okay, I'm on the way see you in a bit”

He starts walking towards the bus

Music plays as he puts the headophones on

He gets to the bus stop and we get a shot of up IN TEXT MESSAGES

and down the street as the music continues to
play, he checks the time on his phone and figures
out how long the bus will be.
And he decided to check what times the trains
are.
He gets on the bus and walks to sit on the lower

part of the deck.
We get a close up shot of the clock on the bus
“Hey im just about to get on the bus, it will be here in like 5 mins then its 30
to the train and im hoping to make it for the next one because I don’t wanna
wait another 30 mins”
“okay, cool ill pick you up from the station”
If song finishes play next song.
I don’t want any sounds from the bus I want the music to be the
overpowering factor.

They drive over to a nice spot and start chatting

The music is to change in pace and start to accommodate the relief of

Sound of quiet buzzing from headphones
We hear the train doors open and the footsteps of him getting off the train.
We hear the barriers open, the footsteps and the car door opening.
Max- “HI, how have you been??”
Hannah- “im good yeah im okay, just tryna get some work done before my
exam rolls around”
Max- “Me too im dying from the stress”
Hannah -“SO where do you wanna go|”
Max- “anywhere actually works, lets just park somewhere nice and chill”
Hannah - “sounds good I think I know a place that will work”
Hannah -“alright great, what music should we play”
Max- “uhh you choose, here”
Friend: (Name in the works) “so I heard its been like almost four years since
you came out now, congrats”
Me: “Yeah, it has actually wow, still no luck with the doctors”
Friend: “Hey Im not even out yet so your like way ahead, I don’t have any
idea how I can approach this with my parents”
Me: “So I take it you want to come out then, like relatively soon right?”
Friend: “I was thinking about getting it overwith this week actually, its been
so long like I need them to know because It feels like I have this whole
weight on my shoulders of hiding everything from them but I keep doubling
back”
Me: “I remember I was super scared but like once it was over with then
everything kind of all fell back into place”
Friend: “Well yeah that’s what im hoping will happen but im still super
worried things might go kind of wrong”
Me: “I mean they are your parents they are gonna love you regardless right”
Friend : “I don’t even know if they understand the difference between sex
and gender, I can't imagine how awkward that whole talk could be”
Me: “Hmm, I mean theres supposed to be services to help both you and
them with this, But after the tavistock closed down I kinda lost faith in any
help from government run facilites, its like theres nowhere to turn”
Friend : “thats partly why I havent said anything yet, it feels like even if I do
come out I wont be able to make any further steps to transition”
Max- “I get it, but theres tons of cheaper private options maybe I could help
you look into, I mean im buying testosterone with bitcoin right now the only
issue is I could get super sick if I don’t get the levels right and that’s why I

15 The screen goes dark and we cut back to our

19 The next day we cut to inside school where our
lead is working, he opens a message from his
friend that says they are driving over now and
just above this message he sees a message from
an unknown account that is being transphobic
towards him sending threating things.

Max- “I didn’t feel like I had a choice you know, 4 years on a waiting list and
then they shut the place down? Anyway I just want you to know im here if
you need me for anything and I get how tricky this part can be”
Hannah- “Thanks it means a lot, I think I might do it you know”
Max- “Well I wish you luck!, but now what should we eat?”

Phone call “Im really sorry to call you this late”

“I decided to come out over text after you left but my mum told me she
doesent want me living with them anymore”

“Have you got anywhere to stay for the night then drive here in the
morning?, im going to be at collage but I can leave some keys under a rock
and you are welcome to the spare bedroom”

“dont even thank me im worried about you tonight, have you got everything

“i think I do, I should be good for the night just sleeping in the car, I can
flatten out the seat you know”
“thats still horrible tho, call me if you need anything else okay”
“alright, im gonna go grab something for dinner, ill see you tommrow”

20 He runs to the bathroom where we see him try
and debate on which one, he should use this
time.
21 His friend Noah opens the door a few seconds
following we are watching max as he hears
somebody come in and gets worried before Noah
stars speaking
He opens the stall door and comes out.
They sit down together an email to the pastoral
care
They both get up and go out for lunch
22 We next cut to him on the train back from school

a notification on his phone doctor who was willing
to monitor his blood levels for him while he continues

25 He gets on the bus, and we watch the bus drive

26 We then cut to the next day as he is walking back
into the GP office with a happy look on his face of
accomplishment.

“Hey max, you okay in there”
“oh yeah uh im fine”
“i saw you dash in here in a hurry so I came to check you were feeling
alright”
“yeah im fine just got a weird message”
“oh?, like what? Can I see?”
“uhh sure, here”
“dude, im so sorry but you need to report this now that’s really messed up”
“okay but I don’t know what might happen if I do”
“its most likely an empty threat and they arent actually watching you but
you need to tell someone just incase you are in any danger, im sorry this is
happening, I can come with you”
“you think I could just email the pastoral care I don’t really wanna go in
person”
“uh yeah, but at the same time isnt it good to get it done like right now?”
“I really don’t think that I can”
“okay okay, but lets email them now okay?”
“yeah thanks”
“alright, sorted”
“you wanna go grab lunch?”

Train noises
Light hearted music interupted by a phone call from Hannah.
“Hey, I just wanted to ask what time youd be home I managed to get in fine”
“okay cool im glad your okay, keeping your mind of things I'm guessing”
“yeah im feeling less panicky now, so how far are you?”
“im sorry I didn’t mention I had a cyber issue earlier I will tell you more later
but my friend helped me with it and I ended up going out with them for
lunch and we lost track of time, should be home in about 30”
“okay ill see you then”
“make yourself comfortable okay, there is some pot noodle in the cubboard
and a some Chinese leftover from last night”
“pot noodle sounds good”
“Im gonna go though a tunnle in a sec so ill see you when im home”

He receives a phone notification that buzzes
He checks his phone to see a letter written to him from a doctor.
